This Utah team was very young. The goalie was first year, just a brave kid who stepped up and did the best he could. It was enough to earn us a win over a Minn-Duluth Team who was ranked #8 at the time we beat them. The fact that Utah stuck with it and played hard all the way to the end despite the score speaks volumes about the program. Just a little note to all of you raggin on the Utes, the score doesn't tell the whole story.

Yeah I'm a big Ducks fan for every sport. It's a club team but there pretty good. They lost in the finals to BYU, even though Oregon beat them in the regular season.

I doubt, actually I guarantee any east coast H.S. could not contend with Oregon. Oregon is ranked #2 in the nation. And Utah is a great team in their own, check your facts, these guys play because they love the sport and because they can PLAY the sport.
I agree with the #54 not being a barometer for whether or not a guy plays. But it is true, ANY decent HS team from NY, NJ, MD, CT, MA, PA, would wipe the floor with either of these teams. I've seen west coast lax first hand, coached, and played men's club. It's not good. U of Arizona was #2 in the country, and unranked D-3 Bates (maine) beat them 30-6. it would have been more but their coach pulled a Tierney and made them stop scoring.
WRONG. I played at the MCLA level and NCAA level, and while some MCLA teams are garbage, some are VERY good, not including Arizona. Michigan beat Colorado College, Kenyon, and Wooster last year. Colordao State and BYU would beat MANY D III and II teams.
these teams would get murked by any decent high school team out east. they dont even let you on the field most places in baltimore if you have a starting player wearing #54
