  • @MegaJammer23 - ANYbody can do ANYthing. Go look at Meytal's videos like the person under me said. Then tell me a girl can't play drums. Hdhddajjajd;

  • he did a good job, it's a good song by APC

  • nice but every one who plays the drumms about two years , should be able to do this... but the drumset... woooow amaazing :D

  • i'm not hating, i'm trying to do "constructive criticism":

he's kinda good for his age, he kept the tempo almost all the time and all, but i think his technique is a bit bad for him and i'm not gonna be like all this guys bellow me that say he is a perfect drummer...he isn't, he needs to work, but for his age he's good ^^

  • what drum sticks is he using? ( BTW kick ass songs, TOOL shirt and hes a very talented kid!! ;)

  • don't loose hope....rock will live for ever, for our souls burn with desire...keep at it kid!

  • and always in the right tempo;)

with 9 years a custom cymbals *dreaming*

  • probably my favorite song by apc.. I'm impressed. Keep on keepin' on (:

  • NOOOO!! the kid would murder me

  • omg she is awesome

  • @xiaofeng59 HE

  • @xiaofeng59 its a dude.... girls cant play like this.... his name is houston

  • @MegaJammer23 Girls can't play like this? Look at Meytal's cover of this and then say that.

  • Diggin the danny Inspired HH placement. kid isn't half bad. infact, he's better than alotta the garbage drumsolo videos found on youtube!

  • @Drummrr You are one of, ohhh 10, people that has ever watched one of his videos that understand where the hi hat concept came from. Cheers.

  • @imrussman What is the hi-hat concept??

  • Really cool man,do some more,by now your really good in the late 2010

  • Total coolness going on there...keep it up.

  • Coolest kid on the planet right there.

  • I always remember this kid for his Metallica covers but this is just too awesome :D

  • Interesting setup, also love the Armand's.

  • Good job kid! With these influences you are going to be an excellent drummer! Thumbs up!

  • Wow you are good! The only thing is the you have to watch out your tempos, that is the only negative thing. Anyway, for being 9 when you played such hard songs is something to take into consideration =]

  • like em quarternote triplets on the bass......:)

  • Tool and A Perfect Circle are my favorites. This is REALLY good.

  • apc not half as good as tool

  • look out danny carey!! somebody is coming for you!!

  • Absolutley awesome

  • shes fucking 9... omg... wtf i cant even do this....

  • @melvings Not a she

  • OK WATEVA.. this is amazing ! @imrussman

  • @melvings Thanks

  • I cant believe 59 people voted this video down... lol.

    Sad sacks of shit.

    Keep smashing them skins Houston!

  • Dont listen to the hater's Houston they're just jealous. You got more talent in your left foot than most drummer's have in their whole bodies. This zombiebuttnugget chode is only mad bcause he can't afford lesson's from you. I'm just sayin:)

  • Hi hihat position looks so comfly.

  • Really good for a 9 year old, this kid is going places

  • man hes going to score alot of hot woman when hes 10 LOL

  • hey kid u´r awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sorry about that last comment I was mistaken. But still pretty awesome there.

what makes it awesome is the dedication really when I was that young I didn't put that much effort into much... I still don't haha ehh

  • Great job kid! I wasn't even doing awesome shit like this when I was 9...

  • Nice keep up the good work!

  • Comment removed

  • @zombiebuttnugett What??????

  • @zombiebuttnugett if you were so good then why are you not in some famous band right now? i doubt you can even play drums as good as this kid and he is way younger than you. and what is wrong with uploading a vid of this kid playing music? he's good and i'm pretty sure people like to watch vids like this. go bitch on some other video.

  • @michaelVickFTW I'n the one bitching? I'm so tired of stupid people.

  • @zombiebuttnugett They help people. I bet you're one of those people that look at videos to see how to play a part in a certain song on a certain instrument. I know I sure as hell am, because it can teach us to do a certain thing, like 32nd notes, I couldn't do those on the bass until I watched a few other styles that other people have. Who the fuck cares if our entertainment is mindless. It makes people laugh. Unless someone has a cricket up their ass and is set in their ways. Like you. :P

  • @kpss1975 Calm down dude. Im not hating on the kid, im just randomly ranting i guess, but I think this kids pretty good.

  • @zombiebuttnugett

So, I guess if you knew the kid and saw his playing, you'd be telling him to post a vid on youtube? You're the fucking sheep, lame ass.....

@imrussman, keep fucking playing man.... you got it. Ignore all the haters.

Do what you love because NO ONE can take it away from you. Ever.

  • @zombiebuttnugett I think you're off your rocker. Stop being a hater.

  • @zombiebuttnugett you're dumb lol. people post stuff on youtube to set examples for the other drummers. You can't tell me the blue devils are dumbasses. They have more talent than you'll ever have. Have a nice day =)

  • @zombiebuttnugett weeerid comment, dude... but ok, im a braindwashed sheep because im watching this video, and guess what, im accually gonna give it thumps up! not only because of the playing, but for him to have the guts to upload it, because the internett is full og people like you, throwing comments hidded by a nick name...

  • That wuz the shit keep it up!!!

  • He's a midget. not a nine year old if he's that good lol

  • its all snare and hi hat

  • this little kid is going to be in a band and hes going to be a real famous drummer before the age of 21 . kids with that amount of talent come once in a blue moon.. keep it up little rocker dude ....

  • @icevader8 I don't think that we were watching the same video, because I definitely saw more than snare and hi hat. I would like to see you play along to that song half as well as he did. It's easy to sit there and talk shit about someone's drumming when you can't play.

  • Not bad little dude! Rock On!

  • its al snare and hi hat

  • @J3ppoy You know shit

  • @J3ppoy hes nine years old

  • @J3ppoy i am pretty sure i saw quite a few symbals in there

  • @J3ppoy oh yeah just hi hat and snare me ass its bass snare hi hate crash ride so what are you talk about and he use his lower toms

  • @J3ppoy did you figure that out yourself, that its a lot of snare and high-hat in this song? wow, you must be an awsome drummer

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \,,,/ \,,,/

  • i super like! :D

  • When I was nine I was only pretending to play drums. This kid rocks.

  • good idea with the hi hat : ) amazing drumming

  • the cymbalsetup is a bit strange

  • sick bro,

  • danny carey jr!!! rock on with the TOOL shirt

you playing amazing 4 being 9

  • @Zeinhawk97 I wish I knew the kid shit man I'm 16 and I need a drummer for my band he would not at all be a bad choice

  • he should learn grace by lamb of god, that would be a good test

  • sa-WEET

  • what snare drum is that.

  • keep on kid

  • Joey Jordison Jr ???

  • is that a tool tshirt???

This kid's going to kick ass, keep it up!

  • its all snare and hi hat

  • @conversions1 Whatever, dumbass

  • @imrussman it is all snare and hi hat

  • @icevader8 Yeah, you're a dumbass too

  • @icevader8 yeah and i bet you cant even play the tripple notes on the bass drums right at the begging of the song or even the transitions..

  • @conversions1

Lol no it's not. This kid may not be playing it correct, but your just plain stupid for saying that.

  • kill it...this is bad ass!!!

  • Needs more cymbals.

  • i am eleven and i'm 20 times better and many of my friends is like 12 times better

  • You're just jealous... 'cause you're 20 and you are 12 times worse than he is...

  • @dudukous

If he would start as this kid at the age of 9 he would be as good.

  • @laserfille

It seems like your math is pretty horrible though

  • WOW way to go kid!!

You're already a good drummer, but some day you're gonna be great.

  • I should be going awhhh right? well all i am thinking is being sick from the fact that a nine year old has more talent than ill ever have. Feel sorry for my sad ass lol

  • this kid is bad ass. i want him as my drummer, haha.

  • get him started on tool stuff asap

  • i like the idea of the remote hi hat.

  • I wish that kid was my brother.

  • para qué ésto?

  • who needs such a big drumset i think one tomtom and two stand toms are enough

  • @sliansbo2 you can do A LOT more with bigger sets...small sets are boring

  • Pretty good.

  • Nice TOOL shirt!

  • great job for being 9 what a great job..... sounds like he is on his way into being a perfect drummer....

  • Pretty freaking kool for 9,

  • a 9 year old with good music tastes? how?

  • How can you people even be judgmental? HE IS 9!! I think he is doing swell and his kit is huge for a 9 year old.

  • good, but for some reason sounds a little messy and off :/ not trying to be mean

  • the hi hat is in the middle of the kit, wierd

  • Excellent job, your only going to get better!!! try some Dennis Chambers if you dare..

  • well

  • John Freese is way better

  • try josh ; )

  • for is birthday you should have his fav band make a special appearance hed be so siked i bet

  • good luck with that, i dont think apc does kids parties

  • the kid's a little fuckin badass.....nice!

  • hes pretty good but a little small for nine i was like 4.10 when i was his age

  • rofl nice observation.

  • and that's all you have to say? Sheep

  • So you were 58 inches tall at 10 years old. That is and extreme. Houston was 55 inches tall at 10 years. Still above average. Look it up.

  • wow nice job keep it up

  • Nice shirt. :)

  • lil sketchy but damn good

  • Good song choice for a nine year old.

  • omggggggg he is soooooooooo good

  • dont let him get off those drums man, u know how important it is to start off early, plus wit a large kit like that, he will make u alot of money later on.

  • you rock, little buddy.

    KEEP ON KICKING THEIR ASS.

  • lol no offence but it looks like a gal

  • No offense, but you sound like a Brit.

  • lol yep im british alright well,i was born in leeds then moved south

  • dude your a kick ass drummer i can't play nearly as good as you i've only been playing 4 about' 5 to 6yrs.

  • Great Job man! keep at it, and il be buying your records years to come

  • Great job kid....excellent choice of music! Keep it up and I'll be buying tickets to see ya in concert!

  • Nice video :-) when I was in high school I took lessons from a guy who had his hats at about 2 O'clock. Made things interesting; forces you to approach things differently. People give me shit too, my toms are basically set up for a lefty while everything else for a righty. Fuck 'em.

  • that's a riduclous set up, not only that but it will toally affect technique, and create bad habits. you're using the completely wrong set of muscles, if nothing else, with the hi hat stuck there..

  • Not your problem. Join the rest of the sheep.

  • It's good to see young ones starting out in this art...but tell the person who set up the drums up that what the hell is his/her problem?! That has to be the most uncomfortable place to put the hi hats...and it's gonna windup affecting your drumming...try Jazz stance...traditional set up...and toms lined up horizontally Your too young to start out with drumming crutches

  • How would you know if it is going to affect his drumming? Have you tried it? He wants it there, he likes it there, and it will stay there until HE says otherwise. Until then, join the rest of your sheep.

  • Of course I've tried it...Im a drummer first of all, Im a teacher second of all. Third, when you say HE wants it there...I beleve your lying...he doesnt reach as well as he would if it was in the normal place, it sounds more like dumb daddy put em there...or are you the brother? Either way, it will affect his drumming, it's only a matter of time. Pic any drummer you like, and they all nkow how to pla the CORRECT way, some choose not to continue, but thats a completely different thing. Dont cry.

  • When you say you have tried it and that you are a drummer and a teacher I believe YOU are lying. You know shit.

  • A ton of other drummer have played THIS kit and yes they all say it feels a little weird but they all agree that is is very comfortable and it would take them no time at all to get used to it. So no, I don't believe you when you say you've tried it.

  • dont worrie about the assholes on here i play complety wrong acording to other people but it feels right for me i play without my hands crossed for playing faster harder punk

  • demasiado pretensioso. you dont need a lot of things just for pretend to be a drumer, thats drum set are so huge, anyway keep trying.

  • im wearing the same shirt he's wearing right now xD Tool rocks!!!!!!!!

  • It' s really your drum kit ?! My god, it's big !

  • he isnt asian so no one will care...lol, just kidding he is awesome....

  • he is a pure talent..... keep it up boy!! cheers from greece

  • That was Niiice, keep it up

  • If that's what he's got to learn on then he's the luckiest kid in the world, and besides who cares if he made a mistake or two, he plays alot better than alot of people twice his age.

  • cierra esa mierda de hithat!!!!!!!!!!

  • whats with the hi hat

  • alot of double bass drummers have hi hats in the middle, the kit is obviously not the kids kit!! and why anybody would want to criticise a NINE YEAR OLD for having a couple of mistakes i dont know..

great job kid keep up the good work!!

  • Keep it up little bro. Doing real good. Why do you position the Hi-hat like that though? I think it would seem awkward and unless you have something like Tama's cable hi hat you can't ever close it.

  • damn!!! your great

  • On another note, this kid is probably going to be the next Danny Carey.

  • his snare drum is SERIOUSLY SLIGHTLY (really small) late

    but is really good

  • dude your pretty fuckin awesome keep at it!!

  • i use to think, i am getting a drum set because they are easier than guitars...... now i look at kids playing them and they actually look alot harder :)

but im still getting a drumset

  • drumset is not easier than guitars....to play drums you need good coordination but still

they're quite as enjoyable as guitars...music is life ;)

  • exactly

  • well i think its easier cuz i been playin since like 5. lol

  • hehe i bought one yesterday...hope it arrives this week...

  • They're both totally different ball games, you can't really compare them, just like ANY musical instrument really. (Outside of the kazoo, maybe you should just get one of those if you're worried about difficulty.)

  • I think the kit actually gets in the way of his playing, nice attempt though, keep it up.

  • why would anyone critique a 9 year old. the fact that he can play this song at all is pretty cool!

someone is teaching him right for listening to maynard!

  • kick ass drum set ....ive seen better

  • he is decent for his age... just like anyone plenty of room to grow and get better... in my opinion he needs to work on maintaining tempo a bit better.... maybe dial it down on the amount of unnecessary pieces in his kit... figure out the combo that works best and use it.... he could stand to lose about 3 or so cymbals and 1 or 2 toms... otherwise decent cover for his age.... also work on the fills

  • agreed

he just fucked up at 2:07 and 2:20

but for his age , this is just awesome

  • I love A Perfect Circle. I'm also a drummer. I'm 15 years old and just about the same amount of talent(which really doesn't matter), but I think this is great. I don't think he's spoiled because if you're good and have the capability to play on a upper class drum set, then you should have a nice drum set to play on. Nice work.

  • he plays the drums better than me! u.u

    hehehe great work!

  • He's off beat quite a few times

  • Okay that could be. However, from what I understand about anyone's musical or artistic talent is that when your in the Zone it's your own. This kid played what was from with in him and reflecting what he heard and felt from the sounds.

  • spoiled spoiled spoiled?? perhaps it has come to mind that this could be his dads or brothers or sisters drumkit? :)

  • i love this kid and his taste in music. I think it's good he got spoiled with that amazing drum kit, his parent's know what there son loves and I'm all for it. Inspirational.

  • I absolutely love this kid and his taste in music. Love the drum set and its good that he got spoiled I love his shit.

  • that is the WORSEST drum set-up i've ever saw!

  • Then truly, you know shit.

  • lol the drum set is pretty fkn good.. the kid really doesnt diserve it thow
