  • Good for you. Should have held out for $100,000. LOL

  • Criminal behavior should be exposed for what it is - criminal - not eschewed.

Hindering or bribing a voter is a class C felony (RCW 29A.84.620) and "the party" colluded in conspiracy to commit fraud (several counts). This was only one of many crimes perpetrated by "the party". Before your next post please do some research. You appear to be awash in Orwellian stop-think/double-think. This isn't a joke, and its not over; the criminals will be indicted, and brought to justice.

  • You are against the McCain people so much, but you guys are not real Republicans anyways.....

  • What are u talking about Ron Paul is th only real Republican!Do you have any clue what it means to be Republican in fact John McCain was actually considering sitching to a Democrat and just look at both of their voting records!Stupid ass peopl like yourself is what is destroying America today!Dumded down Americans who know nothing but what they are told by the media!U believe what you are told to and have no free thinking ability! We are taking back our country from the dumbed down like urself!

  • What, prey tell, is a "real Republican"?? I would certainly like to know. You see, I thought that Republicans praised the spirit of individualism and liberty. I thought "real Republicans" believed that government must be limited to the confines of our US Constitution and must respect our Bill of Rights. I thought Republicans supported free and competitive markets rather than government bailouts. I thought we abhorred war and believed it to be just only in self defense. Am I missing something???

  • So our suspect is a male, John McCain supporter from the 5th Congressional District of Washington. He probably is from Walla Walla like Jacob and he would be somebody in a position of authority in the local GOP. We have a crack team of detectives working on it right now.

  • Shrug.

My degree is in journalism. I have long considered it irresponsible for journalists to repeat unverifiable accusations. And I hold you and Jacob to no less a standard.

If you have evidence, including a name or face, bring it forth. Until then, you're only marginalizing yourself as kooks who will say anything to hurt your opponents.

  • Actually pudgenet, you're trying to marginalize us by calling us kooks. A move straight from the playbook of the Fox "News" school of journalism. Whatever school you went to, ask for your money back.

  • espoxe: I did not call anyone kook, except for those "who will say anything to hurt [their] opponents." If you are such a person, then yes, you're a kook.

  • What do you think of the blackout job by the mainstream media at the convention? Don't you think that the Whatcom Media Team and other video bloggers are doing a good job of covering events like these?

  • What blackout job? I don't follow the mainstream media, especially the local media, so I have no idea what you mean. If you mean the Ron Paul showing at the convention was not covered much, then that is not a "blackout": it is not covered because they rightly believe that their audience couldn't care less about a delegate fight for candidates in a race that's already over.

That said, you may enjoy my song on YouTube, "You Forgot Ron Paul."

  • It sounds like you don't care about the state of journalism today. Why did you get your degree in journalism?

  • I am uninterested in giving you my past history or current "cares." I was just giving context to my perspective about irresponsible statements. If you would like to discuss the issue, please feel free to do so.

  • Get over yourselves.....

  • Would be tough to prove, but based on what I saw at the convention, if I had to bet on whether or not he was telling the truth, I would bet yes and be about 98% sure. I love how Ron Paul folks aren't intimidated by the bureaucracy. The more shady dealings the party has, the more they are exposed. Great job Jacob. Who was it that offered you this?

  • Where is the evidence to support this allegation? Anyone can make an allegation.

  • The evidence is in the testimony of these Ron Paul delegates who experienced corruption at all levels. It would be naive to think that this is all being made up.

  • No, that's incorrect. Evidence is something that can be verified. This is hearsay. Actually, since it is not attributed to any person, it is LESS than hearsay.

There is no evidence here of any kind. And on the contrary, it is "naive" to believe that there isn't a reasonable possibility that it IS being made up. I never said it is made up. I am taking the only rational position: I cannot know if it is made up or not, since no evidence is given, so I ignore it.

  • So you agree that bribery is against the law and that it should be judged in the court of law. That would make Jacob a witness and his testimony as evidence.

  • Nice try, but if you agree this should be judged in a criminal court, you would necessarily be in favor of Jacob saying WHO DID IT so the alleged crime can be INVESTIGATED, which is precisely what I am asking for.

  • You are right. We should concentrate on who bribed Jacob. I would imagine it was sombedoy in a position of authority in his congressional district. That might narrow it down.

  • Simple question: if I made the same allegation, that a RP tried to bribe me, and I provided no evidence, would you believe it? Or would you call me a liar?

Almost every Ron Paul supporter would call me a liar.

I am not saying Jacob is a liar, far from it. I am saying that he should not have made this claim without evidence, and I am saying that the fact that most RP supporters would call me a liar if the roles were reversed proves the point.

  • There is a big difference, the establishment holds a monopoly on lies at the moment.. so RP supporters literally cannot produce a lie. *-P

    RP 2008

  • Riiiiiiiight. :-)

  • Oh, and to clarify, while Jacob's testimony would be admissable in court, it likely would NOT be admissable *AS EVIDENCE.* Again, even if he did name someone, Jacob's testimony would still be hearsay.

The value of his testimony is in lending context, and in providing information that can lead to an investigation, and, hopefully, evidence of a crime. Hearsay is not admissable evidence of a crime.

So if you want to get all legal-y about it, go for it ...

  • No offense but you should look up what "hearsay" is. And if your not a lawyer (which you obviously are not) you should probably set that as a pretext to any kind of legal jargon. And Hearsay is admissable- under certain conditions, look it up.

  • I know what hearsay is, and yes, there are exceptions to the inadmissable. And bribery claims ARE one of those exceptions, as the bribery attempt itself IS the crime, IF there is evidence beyond the testimony of a single person backing it up. The claim itself is NOT sufficient evidence by itself for a trial, and would be, by itself, inadmissable. It wouldn't even be enough for an indictment. Or even an investigation. There must be something more.

  • This is the strongest group of Ron Paul patriots. Good job guys!!! From Idaho Ron Paul.

  • vote your conscience!! RP08!

  • Way to be a patriot Jacob. Keep fighting the good fight!

  • WOOT!
