the difference between 780g and 790gx:

-790gx = crossfire

-790gx = raid 5 support

-790gx = hd3300 intergrated video

there isnt much difference, unless you are going to have multiple graphics cards, or raid 5. otherwise get the 780g. i personally went with the 770 chipset, because it had sb710 south bridge, jut like 780g, but the 770 doesnt have onboard video, so you need a graphics card. thats the only difference.

Besides a single 4770 single chip video card is more than enough to have very satisfying experience in all games..

Yes , this is a special case, just because ATI released a 128-bit superclocked version of the 4850 . For uppgrading purposes the 4770 in crossfire has no competition. But still I think the 4770 and 4850 are able to run all games at high quality with decent framerates. Also it is imposible to be confused when buying a crossfire board, because of the 2 PCI-e slots. IGP boards have only 1, and we all know that an integrated chip have not the same power of a discrete 4770. Non-experts buy consoles.

They do NOT have more cache at all, so please stop spreading false statements. My Core2Duo has 6MB of cache, and I've yet to see an AMD processor that has more than that. The ones they are bringing out this year MIGHT, but the ones that are already out don't.
