mits & nismo are far from the bottom for performance, Nissan has the skyline! Can be cranked to 1400 useable bhp! the Mits have lancers as well as the GTO that you can get 1000hp from! toyotas are brill i have a supra with 360hp and i love the nsx with its refinement, none would be where they are if it wasnt for the competition of the others and having to push their models. Ps mazda is up there too. All these top makers provide equally good machines, just depends what you want....
I wouldn't own either one of those cars! As far as Japanese cars go, Mitsubishi and Nissan are actually at the bottom of the performance barrel. Its either going to be Toyota or Honda, there are no other choices.

@iHardStar No it isn't, note the false window in front of the B pillar and the smaller quarter windows in the rear and the non-banana wing - those are 3000GT trim. Mechanically same, cosmetically different, but that is a 3000GT unless the owner has done conversions on those parts.
I had a 92 VR4.. the year with the pop up headlights and 5 speed. 93s did away with the pop ups.. went to a 6 speed and made 320 horses with a little more boost. I forgot what year they made the drive line stronger.. 95 maybe? Anyways.. I MISS that car! Nonetheless, both of these cars are cool so I don't know why anyone would rag on them but don't diss the VR4s.. with forced induction already onboard, they can be vicious with basic upgrades. Some on here beyond that with 1000+ HP.

350 has more torque than its counterpart, I have beat 1999 Vr4 twice in the race. It depends how you do the gearing of 350z. Z has Lots of Displacement and can easily take the Vr4 in Drag race or track race. Vr4 are not in production anymore as Mistubishi didn't have success with this sports car.
@uman43 eyh 3000gt is a good sport car dont say they didnt have success with it. i have seen them beat ferrari, lamborghini, corvette and other super cars. i have seen one with over 1300 hp. 3000gt have endless potential so dont say its not a good sportcar. it can compete against supercars if you put enough money in it.
@uman43 i wouldn't say that mitsu didn't have success, they were in a dying market. the GTO was an amazing machine ahead of its time, as the other twin turbo japan es super cars of the 90's (supra,skyline,RX7,300zxtt) the GTO and the other Japanese super cars were getting expensive and could no longer compete. the only too survive was the Z but that's not even turbocharged anymore.
Yo Mitsubishi, make an anniversary version or a special edition *Blast from the Past* 3000GT VR4 already. I'm talking, mercedes, bmws, audis, etc... honda and acura NSXs also are very potent and sturdy race cars, more for drag rather, but this is what the video is displaying.

@iHardStar No it isn't, note the false window in front of the B pillar and the smaller quarter windows in the rear and the non-banana wing - those are 3000GT trim. Mechanically same, cosmetically different, but that is a 3000GT unless the owner has done conversions on those parts.

I had a 92 VR4.. the year with the pop up headlights and 5 speed. 93s did away with the pop ups.. went to a 6 speed and made 320 horses with a little more boost. I forgot what year they made the drive line stronger.. 95 maybe? Anyways.. I MISS that car! Nonetheless, both of these cars are cool so I don't know why anyone would rag on them but don't diss the VR4s.. with forced induction already onboard, they can be vicious with basic upgrades. Some on here beyond that with 1000+ HP.

350 has more torque than its counterpart, I have beat 1999 Vr4 twice in the race. It depends how you do the gearing of 350z. Z has Lots of Displacement and can easily take the Vr4 in Drag race or track race. Vr4 are not in production anymore as Mistubishi didn't have success with this sports car.

@uman43 i wouldn't say that mitsu didn't have success, they were in a dying market. the GTO was an amazing machine ahead of its time, as the other twin turbo japan es super cars of the 90's (supra,skyline,RX7,300zxtt) the GTO and the other Japanese super cars were getting expensive and could no longer compete. the only too survive was the Z but that's not even turbocharged anymore.

We are getting back into the racing genre again, at least I hope we are, no used in us getting into the (save the environment hippie mode). I don't think I can hold on to my 3000gt vr4 anymore, parts are getting more expensive and it is too time consuming to work on. I would sell my soul, oh *sign contract* for a 2011-20xx model. Lancers are ugly now, they look like match box cars.

@GENERALSLASH1 false. stock 1998 supra twin turbo has 320HP @ 5600 rpms and 315 lb tq. @ 5100 rpms <-- that could easily beat alot, if not a good handful, of stock cars now days, and I'm not including cars that aren't necessarily made for racing. I'm talking, mercedes, bmws, audis, etc... honda and acura NSXs also are very potent and sturdy race cars, more for drag rather, but this is what the video is displaying.

@zerohunter64 lol you are as dumb as a fucking rock.. try google next time.. the usual 350z which are till 06 if im not mistaking have the VQ35DE that produces 280hp rev line at 6700rpm.. 07 350z's and up have the VQ35HR which produce 306hp and rev line at 7500rpm.. 07 350z and up are even with an is350 WHICH RUN LOW 13s but trap a little higher than is350 in 1/4 so it means it faster on top end... in conclusion you dont need SHIT to run low 13 on a 350z from 07+ and much less on a 370z

@lopsided99 HR Z's run 13.1-13.5 with a decent driver. you didn't run a HR, you ran a revup (no hood bulge), and they're not that quick. a good driver can run a 13.7-13.8 stock, but most aren't good drivers... and you're modded.
