The kid is obviously very talented!

The one thing I would caution him on is, he only has that cute "child prodigy" thing going for him for a few years.I would like to see him start doing his own thing. But a lot of times that's hard, especially when you're taught a certain way. Anyone who comes from a Classical background (any Instrument) knows what I'm talking about and how you almost have to re-learn, just to go off the cuff, so to speak!

Although, I am not a big Hendrix fan, my first thought on hearing this was OMG didn't Jimi do something like that. I watched the video of Alex playing with his band Recess, and I thought this kid is amazing. The other band members are awesome also, but I was mesmerize by Alex's guitar playing. I kept watching his fingers. I thought this kid can't that good - it must be a trick. None of the A.I. contestants that played the guitar this season has even come close to this kid.
