  • @CannedKoolaid Job fairs look more for finance degrees than economics degrees, and the only actual jobs specifically for economists are for economics Grad-school degrees, not undergrad. FInance undergrad degress have all the knowledge of monetary value in the economics degree plus far more and with none of the useless abstractions. That's my assessment after finishing the B.A. in economics and minoring in finance, so I'm saying I would definitely do finance instead if I could do it over again.

  • They certainly know how to advertise their university lol now I want to study economics ahh I'm so confused

  • Great video!

Who is the background music performed by? Name of artist / band??

  • If I don't get into the business program at the university I'm transferring to, I'm going to major in Economics and minor in Marketing.

  • Im planning on going to NYU to Double Major in Political Science and Economics!! WOOT

  • BEST MAJOR EVER :)

  • Im undecided but I know that Im leaning towards declaring economics as my major. Im taking micoreco and Im doing pretty well. this video only pushes my decision to do so, but as for the job possbilities, I wouldnt mind doing any of what he mentioned, but I wanna do something bigger, like help the world. maybe add some global/international studies too =D

  • econ major here. to the 15 year old and anyone else fixated on the idea of studying economics, i strongly advise you take microeconomics your first semester of college. you'll learn by december whether or not econ is for you.

  • @EdwardCullensMayo I heard that it's very math intensive.

  • @ICarnag3I nope

  • @ICarnag3I Economics jobs go to people with economic grad-school degrees, and you can get into econ grad school with a math degree easier than with an econ degree without advanced math. I'd major in finance and take some advanced math courses; then I'd have the best job options with the B.A., plus options to go into PhDs in finance or economics.

  • I love the card analogy. Sold me (then again, I was already in the market).

  • Economics FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOMENESS

  • I've always loved to do something related to Economics . I'm in grade 11 right now , and I think I'm going to major Economics . Just a thing though .. do I need to be aware of 'anything' ?

  • As an economics major, I can say that this is pretty cool and accurate. Although, don't plan on going beyond a bachelor's degree without extremely sharp mathematical and analytical skill. What you learn as an undergrad is really, really cool though. Go for it if you think it's for you.

  • You guys can major in Social Science. Social Science is a broad major that focuses on Economics, Political Science, Sociology, History, Anthropology, Geography and more.

  • love the videos, thanks so much for sharing!!

  • Austrian economics ftw.

  • i want to major in economics now

  • I majored in econ. Now I'm making $160k. It's definitely a degree that opens up many opportunities. I also married a fine ass wife because of all the money I make. Want to have a good life? Major in Economics!

  • @MultiEatmyshorts Is there any chance you can become a millionaire?

  • he only needs to discard the six (one card) to draw at the straight, for which he needs a jack. he discards two cards. what a fish.

  • I would like to do a major in political science and economics

  • LOL! Yeah, you hear this a lot from people who hate economists.

In that case there's no such thing as a college degree from Harvard, because John Harvard died 360 years ago.

  • Yes there, you moron. Ever heard of Milton Friedman or Paul Krugman??

  • Most people know there is a Nobel prize in economics, ignore the idiots.

On another note, both of the economists you mentioned are complete liberal sociopaths. Just sayin'

  • Milton Friedman won the Nobel Price for Economics in 1976, long before the right-left debacles ever began. Sorry, just felt the need to correct you on that.

  • @fingtyin Actually, there is a Nobel prize in economics. Look it up.

  • you can do a lot with an economics major!

  • what can you do with a Economics degree?

  • barista

  • no u dont even need a diploma for that

  • CEO.

Most CEO has an engineering degree, in second position it's the Economics degree holders.

And most CEO says the best degree is an engineering degree and the second best degree is an Economics degree.

  • @Willhelm007 What CEOs say such things?

  • Hmm..sounds awsome. I'm 15 and I'm thinking about going into economics.

  • @SuperNerd707 I'm 17 and same.

  • @SuperNerd707 do it! such a great major!

  • @SuperNerd707 Do it! Im 18, and that what im going to college for. But you have to study alot of math. I read a paper by professional economist and they said if you want to get into a good school or have a successful career, you should focus alot of your time taking math, then go get your economics degree. Because alot of good economic schools will look your math history, and thats how they will decide if your ready to study economics. So, MATH, MATH, MATH!! Study it!

  • Economics is where it's at! YOu want a good life, major in economics and pursue a doctorate degree.

  • That's my plan.

  • same here

  • im a business admin major nice
