I remember Michel took part in a jam session with Richie Cole, Bobby Mcferrin, Buster Wiiliams and the other musicians in Madarao Jazz Festival held in Japan. They greatly played Straight No Chaser and I still can't forget Michel's performance with Buster. He frequently used great Riffs during which Buster developed amazing walking bass lines. Does anyone have that video?
OMG is this best jazz or what! I think it is Shizouka Japan? Yes Hiromi and Michel are the only pianists who play masterfully with their eyes closed, bacause they play only from their mind and heart - the way jazz has to be played. This is just a moment in time captured forever I hope.

that left hand is from Errol Garner style. There are many video on Youtube of Errol. However Michel is the master of tempo.
galfredos 2 years ago
Exactly - I had an Erroll "Lullaby of Birdland" but youtube forced me to delete it.
I try often to do it but I m not really good -
Can not even read notes
You find it while searching with the word TRIOLS
And being on Youtube please see my latest song SHANDORA it's not jazz
but so amazing

I begin more and more to realize the extreme
importance of a good bass man
Even Oscar with Ray Brown
And also realize I have an excuse for some of the Blues_s
I play , not being at maximum (but almost) Hâ
