And who's to say the U.S. is now? The media now chooses who gets elected. Just look at how much support Ron Paul receives, but the mainstream media refuses to cover him. Look at how millions voted on "Change" but never knew what that meant.

@NewTeutonicOrder2 Wasn't Obama considered an unlikely candidate for president? I thought he surprised everyone by becoming the frontrunner. Also, Ron Paul can drum up a lot of support in particular places (Iowa straw poll), but I'd like to see polls showing how much support he has nationwide. He does have some extreme policies (end the federal reserve, dismantle the IRS...), so it makes far more sense that the majority of people won't vote for him based on that, & the media simply follows suit
