Nice tanking video =D. I have to agree with you, it scares me when I'm a lowbie or an undergeared tank, where my group members has epic gear especially if its a server run (back before Random Dungeon was implemented). I'm wondering, if your making a prot war video consisting of undergeared players especially heals on how to tackle the situation. Also, probably a video on magic damage based bosses, since rage won't increase as much as physical based attacks. Might be good info for newer tanks.

As a very proficient prot warrior I was surprised at how good you were and how comfortable you were with the mechanics. For somebody who makes so many guides for so many specs, you would think that the quality would suffer. Not one bit.

I'm glad other people enjoy prot warriors as well. The mobility aspect is just a ball. I also love using H throw and pummel to group the mobs nice and tight and go to town. Too bad Dragon Soul has no mobility/hard tank fights :( (Not even the H modes I've done)

reminds me of leveling the warrior which im using now. I had no looms and most dps were fully loomed. I had to work my ass of but it was awesome.

what about retaliation? i use that constantly as a prot warr, helps with mitigation, rage gain and saves my arse for 20 damaging attacks lol.

How important is it to rend a target before thunder clapping? Is it okay to charge in a thunderclap right off the bat? Will you lose agro?

Sometimes if I charge in, the group of mobs will immediately start rushing the dps or healer and it doesn't give me enough time to Rend before thunderclapping.

Good question mate, I get the same situation. I think Rend is just a threat builder whilst you've got the mob. I tend to run in, thunderclap to grab everything then when I get the time, as soon as possible smack on a rend and thunderclap.

I'd much rather grab the mob off the bat, then have to chase a mob who's rended but is chasing the dps all over the place.

@BlaineMirf Hi guys, this again comes down to you setting the pace of the run instead of the DPS. If you are waiting regularly for the group to be ready for packs then theres a chance the dps will aoe before your 2nd global cooldown, however pulling just before they finish with previous packs or moving on ahead of the group will consistantly by you 4-5 globals before they arrive allowing you to rend first. Your the tank, you are in charge of the pace so have that mindset.

@TheWarrior519 So I'm sure you found it by now in case you were still looking, but just for the other tanks that want to know where to find it. If you google "Curse Threat Plates", it should come up as the first link. The name of the addon is "Tidy Plates: Threat Plates"

It's an absolute must for any tank, and very helpful for DPS and healers to know when they are being targeted.

Tidy plates - Threat plates. Really handy for DPS as well, so you dont have to keep such a close eye on Omen.
