Nickeysgreat, there's an episode in the first season - I think it's called The Last of The Fourth of Julys - where they mention Steve's limits in jumping. He has to use a perch to go over an electrified fence. And he trains for a while prior, which is where we learn something about his limits.
I believe the fence was 30 feet high, and maybe it was considered a risk for him than to try to jump it on his own. Even with a running start (of course the show gives no details..;) )
Does anyone know where to get the series of DVD of the Six Million Dollar Man or The Bionic,, I love those shows as a kid and I wish I can get a series of DVD's but it is so hard to get!!
Two Part episodes of Goliath 1983,1984,Knight Of The Drones 1985,and Knight Of The Juggernauts 1986 from The Knight Rider series were inspired by Bigfoot and Death Probe from The Six Million Dollar Man series.
The only other Sci Fi series that had the similar impacts years later in their Decades were the Original Star Trek series 1966 to 1969 starring William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy along with Knight Rider 1982 to 1986 starring David Hasselhoff and the late Edward Mulhare.
This episode of Death Probe is from January 1977. It was filmed in early December 1976 before being first released on ABC TV in Two Parts for Two Weeks in January. It was replayed again on ABC in July 1977.
Martin E Brooks was originally casted as the role of Dr Rudy Wells in Cyborg The Six Million Dollar Man movie in 1973 before going to the late Martin Balsam then after that movie to Alan Oppenheimer who played his role until 1975.
Richard Anderson who began being casted as the character Oscar Goldman in the 2nd Pilot movie Women Wine And War in 1973 really did not have any taste for Science Fiction at all in real life.
The late Darren McGavin guested in Cyborg The Six Million Dollar who also starred in another ABC Suspense Theater Movie series at the time Kolchak The Night Stalker. The Six Million Dollar Man was to be in the Sci Fi tradition of the James Bond and Man From U.N.C.L.E. style series.
Six Million Dollar Man also had excellent ABC Suspense Theater 2 hour pilot movies too in 1973, with its debut Cyborg The Six Million Dollar,Women Wine and War,and The Solid Gold Kidnapping.
Deadly Replay episode in 1974 reprised the event from Cyborg The Six Million Dollar Man movie from early March 1973.
This was one of best of the Six Million Dollar Man episodes in the series 1974 to 1978 along with the Fembots on Kill Oscar,Bigfoot, the Bionic Woman,Chester Dolenz's Robots, and the Seven Million Dollar Man.
Director: "okay Lee, we have this lame thing that an old lady in a walker could out maneuver. So you use those RADA trained acting skills of yours to make it look like a threat with frantic movements. And as soon as this scene is done, you can take you and your mustache back to your gay porn shoot. Oh, and we've been missing some leisure suits, you wouldn't know anything about that would you?"
you can not beat Stevie Austin !

The Return of Death Probe was even more dramatic with the Killer Red Lazer Beam attached on top of it.
