@Rotaryisgarbage Yea...RX8 - one of the best handling cars in the world - cant handle. Let me guess, you're 12 and dont have a drivers license? Whatever your real age is, looking at your channel, its clear that you're insane.
@derbigpr500 Yeah the video really shows how well they handle. Let's see, I can believe you without any proof or believe a video that shows what I am talking about. Yeah hard decision. Video proof or loser without a clue. I think I will go with the vid!
@Rotaryisgarbage It's called the laws of physics you fucking moron. An because an rx8 has a rotary engine (which you appraisingly think is awesome) the engine can be pushed far behind the front wheels giving it a front midship layout. This reduces the moment of intertia greatly allowing the car to yaw more quickly... basically the speed of transient handling. It also had a double a-arm front setup and multilink rear (imitating SLA) which ensures no compromise geometry. I used to have an eight.
@ffrgtm Yes the laws of Physics determines that the car is junk and can't handle. Period. If you owned an eight you are a moron that has no taste for buying such an ugly POS. Honda S2000 is better and far more attractive.
@Rotaryisgarbage No... I explained why, according to the laws of physics, the rx8 handles well. The laws of physics are a little hard to argue with so (unsurprisingly) your reply was to argue the opposite without giving any supporting evidence. Try using your brain.
@ffrgtm What you did is explain nothing, All you did was say it does what it does because the laws of physics. You are an idiot if you think that explains anything.
@Rotaryisgarbage Look I am unsure if you are trolling or are genuinely simple minded. If you are honestly interested in what I am trying to explain to you (It's somewhat difficult with a low character limit on youtube) then simply search google or even wikipedia for moment of inertia or polar moment of yaw inertia. It is a primary factor in determining how well a car handles, though there are many. Throw me a message if you are having trouble understanding and I'll be glad to help out. Good luck
@ffrgtm Look, either prove your point or get lost. So far you have proven nothing except that you are an idiot that tries to disprove facts. The Rx8 does not handle very well at all. Get a clue!
@Rotaryisgarbage sigh.... since physics are too much for you.. the rx8 r3 won the motortrend best handling car shootout, against an r8, skyline gtr... m3.. the list goes on and on. You can search for the video if you'd like... professional race car driver Randy Pobst (daytona 24 hour 2 time winner.. ect) said "this is the best handling car I have ever driven, it feels like a glove".
@ffrgtm 1st off idiot you cite one driver and one race. Got any more? Is there a consensus or one size driver states the Rx8 fits like a glove and it is “gold”? WRONG!
2nd if you looked more at the article you are citing, you would have noticed that a “FWD” Chevy Cobalt posted a quicker time around the track. That right there proves how stupid you are to prop up the handling of a car that was bested by a FWD Chebbie!!! and posted the 2nd slowest lap of all the cars tested.
@derbigpr500 Yeah it really handles good. That is why it crashes often. You are an idiot, look here on youtube for all the crashes. It is slow too due to the crappy rotary. If you see insanity when you look at my channel you are more of an idiot than I give you credit for.
On the contrary - it handles great. I just didn't have the skill to get around a stationary object in my path while on the limit of adhesion at 140km/h.
No, insurance doesn't cover it. Track rules are you pay your own damage. But I was avoiding the S2000 that spun in front of me who got off without any damage! Some people said I should have hit him! But I think he would have got hurt. Others say to drop the car off a cliff and claim! In the end I scrapped it and bought another RX8 to get straight back out there.
Depends on the type of crash. In a big one like mine you probably want them. I was lucky as I impacted backwards so no whiplash etc. For a minor shunt you don't want the airbags as they break the windscreen, wreck the interior and cost you a whole packet to fix up the dash.
Airbags don't just pop as soon as you tap something, not the new ones anyway. Was in my friends Audi when it got hit on the side by another car, $10,000(CAD) damage. But, because of the direction of impact, no airbags were deployed.
wow that sucks wasted a rx8 just cus some guy spun out
