The guy that responds didn't say "I didn't know you were such a poet Mr Hammond" He said "No[s] desconocía estas cualidades de Rxxxx" meaning "We were not aware of these Rxxxx qualities." I have no idea what the last word is but he makes no reference to Hannon being a poet.

That said he has got a pretty nasty accent, I'm fluent and found it hard to understand. I guess the translator was on the spot and had to come up with something fast. I hope the rest of the EU translations aren't so sloppy

The interpreter had to make up something on the spot, but hopefully it makes more sense to know that he said "I didn't know you had such 'rhapsodic' qualities" rather than calling Hannan himself a poet. (Master orator, yes. Master poet, probably not.)
