Having known people who as young children had to run for their lives from these monsters there is nothing good to say on their behalf. As for Dresden, it was one of many acts of depravity that were committed by all the combatants but it will not change the fact that Hitler and the Nazis led the way into the abyss. They knew what they were doing and tragically so many blindly followed them and some today refuse to learn that lesson. We cannot afford to forget that.

Learn some history Heydrich. For what its worth I think Dresden was a terrible mistake but I wasnt around then. Dresden DID have a lot of factories producing war material mostly precision engineered .

The japanese and germany have got it right I think not spending huge amounts on a war budget,defence systems, nuclear subs etc, It really is a drain on any economy.You never know what will happen though.Look at the falklands war. The MOD (ministry of defence) had been trying for years to get the parachute regiment disbanded and aircraft carriers scrapped. Too expensive they say. When the parachute regiment is needed it is badly needed indeed.
