I love when African Americans tell half the story.It would be racist if we showed what happened to the Irish before Africans sold there poverty to the English as slaves to try and create a future for there country.No one blames them or feel sorrow for the Irish so it's hard for me to understand one sided minds on the subject.Maybe they should put more money in to researching the history instead of music video's.

@g3tdownorlaydwn Ok first of all you are trying to under cut what happened to the Irish but the thing is Ireland is a HOME country that any Irish man can return too. I don't know if you Irish or not but you are seeing this from a "sweep the problem under a rug" mentality. We as BLACK Americans (we are so far separated from Africa that know way we can be called African) know nothing of our past roots. I can go as far back as my great grandparents which is a extraordinary feat

@D313Wright And it's the same for most Irish-Americans ask them where in Ireland they hail from...no connections the Irish world population from 1,5mil to 600k in a 7 year span with around 300k of the 600k being claimed slaves. The Irish didn't sell them selves like the African's did.The Irish where enslaved for being Catholic. I'm not under cutting the Black's by no means, slavery isn't right on any level. How many people have knowledge of the Irish slave trade?

@g3tdownorlaydwn I know about about 80% percent of the Irish slave trade( i not that entirely sure) i study history and i know if there is a race of people who understand what it means to be like blacks in american its the Irish and Jewish people.
