  • i feel bad for the kids of the people who believed this crap. i saw an interview with a couple of kids who were trying to get legally emancipated from their parents because their bought into that end of the world hype. they pulled them out of school, sold their house, and gave away all of their stuff, while the whole time the kids were like "youre idiots! what the hell are you doing?!" so now their basically homeless or theyre living with their grandparents or sonething

  • This dude is a fuggin retard, drinking the same Kool Aid, just a different flavor

  • @JedClampettJr Really .. and you have what evidence to back that up?

  • @goomerite if you can disprove the existence of God, go for it. and I couldn't understand what you were saying about the pyramids. sorry. :(

  • Alright it is may 21st 6:38 the world was supposed to end 38 mins ago and nothing happend see we have so many false prophets its really a sign of the end is coming i go to church on a regular basis and if u read the bible carefully jesus said he is gonna come like a thief in the night when nobody is expecting it why do we all predict these times for the world to end when nobody know's except God almighty he is the only one that decide's not you not me nor no one else people need to wake up

  • @stojfan1 dude, the bible never says that. it's just some wacko christians who claim that. the same sort of christians also claim that the world will end today.

read the bible before you criticize it.

  • religious leaders? with an s? Those people do not speak for all christian. Harold Camping is their leaders, just like the Muslim extremist don't speak for all Muslims. You an Atheist that good for you, but don't try and say now that Mr. Camping pertain to all of us. In the last days there will come many false prophets and deceive many, there will be flood, earthquakes, wars, and rumors of wars.

  • @jbenvenga There is no proof. If there is, show me...

  • @Judenswein it won't let me post the link, so just google "thomas aquinas quinque viae" and follow the second search result.

This is scientific. It can be proven and demonstrated in the physical world.

  • @jbenvenga I read it, it's interesting, but it does in no way prove that there is a god. And if there really is a creator, he must have been created by something, like if I built a city with lego's, I was created by my parents. A god can't just appear. I also find it interesting with the article that it's so much of a basic science. Like that the sun produces energy with nuclear fusion and hydrogen, those two elements keep the sun running, not a god.

  • @Judenswein good to see that you're at least open to discussion. this was a watered-down version of aquinas. in the original, he shows the necessity of an unmoved mover (that which has perfect act and no potential), which we would understand to be God.

as for existing forever, all the atheists I met have claimed that energy has existed for ever without being created. Why is it so irrational to claim that an unmoved mover, who isn't bound to time and space, can have existed forever?

  • @jbenvenga We don't know how energy came to exist yet, but we will find out. Like we didn't know that the earth was round until few hundred years ago. New discoveries are being made all the time. I find it weird that there must be an invisible living creature is out there that just came to existence. But that's me.

  • @Judenswein The Unmoved Mover is not a creature. That's the point. And isn't energy invisible?

And by the way, Aristotle proved that the world was round over two thousand years ago. It's not that recent.

Aristotle also proved the existence of an unmoved mover. I don't doubt new discoveries can be made, but shouldn't we at least stick with a temporary explanation until we have a better one? Assuming energy came to be from nothing seems less sure than knowing there is an unmoved mover.

  • @jbenvenga God has intelligence, can think, be disappointed, angry, etc... If you look into body science these are all parts of your brain that make you feel this. So god isn't a creature, but it act's just like us humans, but is invisible? And thanks to the catholic church 500 years ago, Galileo was murdered because he came up with the round earth theory. People said that the earth being round was bullshit still. Nobody looked at it like it was proven at that time. And no one has proven god.

  • @Judenswein God cannot be angry, disappointed, etc, the same way we can. The reason we predicate these things of God is because we can't describe him apart from what we know.

And you honestly have to do more research. It was common knowledge that the earth was round. Aristotle used the shadow of the earth on the moon durning an eclipse to prove it.

And you're not addressing Aquinas or Aristotle. Both proved the existence of God. Refute them before you say no one has proved it.

  • @jbenvenga God was angry at Adam and Eve, for taking a bite of the fruit. Also give me a reliable source where the proof of god is. And that thing about the earth being round was just an example how we keep discovering new things...

  • @Judenswein God was not angry the same we are angry. He knew that would happen, and he also has complete control over all circumstances. We do not, so our anger is not the same.

Again, if you read Aquinas "Quinque Viae" or Aristotle's "Unmoved Mover" those are two reliable sources.

And I don't doubt we can continue to discover new things, but why replace a stable theory with a less stable one?

  • @jbenvenga "At the seventh day, god took a rest" Why would he need to take a rest if he was a god? And I googled both of those theories from Aquina and Aristotle, those are both hundreds of year old theories, which are completely outdated, if you look at today's science. A mover moving something else is so much of a basic thinking that I don't even know. And also if a god exists, why would it be a christian god? Why can't it be Ra? or Thor?

  • @Judenswein I never said it was a Christian God. All I said was that there is the necessity for a God, an unmoved mover.

And the theories aren't outdated. If you can't refute them, they aren't outdated. So now I ask you, can you refute them? A mover moving something is normal. A mover who is NOT moved is something else. I say that God is an unmoved mover, who gives act to things while not losing any act himself. If I push a cart, I am being pushed by other forces. God is not. That's the argument

  • @jbenvenga Fire lights, goes up there is nothing moving that is pushing the fire to go up, the gas is just allot lighter than air which forces it to go up. Like a balloon. Wind isn't moved by anyone. It's basic physics. How can God be an unmoved mover if everything must be moved by something? What if energy is unmoved?

  • @Judenswein Fire is created by previously created energies and substances. Moved mover.

Wind is air moving through the atmosphere because of pressure, changing temperatures, etc. Moved mover.

There must be an unmoved mover to put act into the system. Energy cannot have been forever, since it does need a host for it. Namely, a medium.

You haven't refuted anything, just played with words.

  • @jbenvenga Why doesn't god need a mover?

  • @jbenvenga ofcourse ... keep reading your Bible, while the rest lives in reality.

  • @JungleHyena I don't read the Bible to show the existence of God. I read Aristotle for that.

But I definitely think that all this "Rapture" stuff is complete BS, just so we're on the same page.

  • @jbenvenga My PC has been compiling my next video for more then an hour now, it is close to finish .. on the fact of proofing god exists, yes or no. So watch it when it is uploaded. I hope within the half hour. ... To note: I Generally follow the next quote, though it is not historically proven to be his, I believe. Ghenghis Khan said: "It is not sufficient I succeed. All others must fail!" ... I respect all opinions. I get the idea I said something bad to you. I so, its not personal

  • @JungleHyena I will definitely watch it when I get home from work. And don't worry, I don't take anything personally. I hope you know that I'm not attacking you either.

  • I do not believe in evolution, as my family was not born swinging out of the trees.

I am a Christian. However, I do not believe this. I was taught no one, none of us but God himself, knows when the time will come.

  • @KB1FUA1 "I was taught" ... perhaps you should start thinking for yourself, instead in believing doctrines that were taught to you. There is no difference between a Christian believer and a muslim extreemist suicide-bomber, when it comes down to not thinking for yourself. You might mean well, but you are missing the point. You have no morals, since "god gave" you yours. That is why religions can make such easy excuses for all kinds of horrible crimes.

  • @JungleHyena I do not say ''I was taught'', I say ''I taught myself''. I belive not because some random people told me to belive, I belive because I know in my heart its true.

P.S. my family is not religious, every time I bring a religion subject, they always have to go against me o.e As I said: I teached myself and found the Truth on my own

  • @JungleHyena I understand that you are mad at religious people but can you blame god for mankinds mistakes? If you are a logical thinker then you must realize that not all people believe in god the same way and not all Christians or Catholics are extremist. The fact is that you base your reallity and view on the world based on fear and hate.In order to think logically though you will have to take emotion out of the equation and not be so ignorant as to think every person views religion the same.

  • @JungleHyena just want to know what you think of the crimes "religion" doesn't commit. is it there fault too?im not dissing you..before you call me one of those judgment day believers i'd like to state im Christian i from the first time i saw that billboard knew it was fake(the bible says no one will know). if you knew how to defend your position using the bible...with all reason i would somehow believe you but your statement suggest the ignorance there of. +the bible is historically accurate

  • @KB1FUA1 "I do not believe in evolution, as my family was not born swinging out of the trees."

Are you trolling, or do you just not understand what evolution is and how it works?

  • Actually, the guy claiming it's May made the same claim back in 1992. It's just a doomsday cult. It's no more serious than the 2012 claims

  • @auron508 Yeah ... but the the point is ofcourse that it is amazing that the followers of these kind of guys, still keep following them, eventhough they got a date wrong. It is just propably that the followers are to well conditioned already, so they are unable to make a conclusion for themselves, and let their leaders do that for them.
