this course is slow but at the same time something about it makes you run fast probably because of all the people and the adrenaline rush of it. not to mention it's all one loop, not multiple loops, which may or may not help depending on how you like it. i ran a PB by 17 seconds on this course at the mcneil invitational so it's definitely possible to run fast even with all the hills.
Was this course really flat? The top 10 times are so much faster than the ones I see at my meets! I live in Connecticut though, and many courses do have big hills and hilly sections, so is that why the fastest times I see are 16-17:00?
@Ngerty1 no the course isnt really that flat, I live in this area so I've run this course before. It's actually got a good amount of hills in the race and the finish is actually uphill. This is the Texas State meet though so these times are obviously going to be incredibly fast
@Ngerty1 No. Actually it's the most difficult course I have ever ran. It is hilly the entire way. The hills aren't tall and steep, just a lot of up and down small hills the entire way. The final 400 meters is straight up a very steep hill.
For our JV meet there was this guy from CC Carroll and he ran his 5k in like 13:58 his last name was zamora cant remember first name. Props to that guy

a real beast wouldnt be a jerk to other runners when he beat them all. at one of the races he was being mean to one of the runners. he is not even close to a beast.
