Okay, so I used common sense and here's what I've come up with:

If the anchorman and anchorwoman got up to help her, than the cameraman wouldn't be able to film them telling the news. If he can't film the news, than what are they to do? But by not running over to her, at least they can continue to tell the news. I'm sure they have someone else who is trained to deal with that stuff on standby anyway
