So happy I quit the A&P when i did... The company treats there employees like garbage, takes money from them, but did they give the same pay cut to the suits, or cut their vacation time? The union did not back the workers who bust there asses for the company and the way they say thank you is cutting pay, vacation and sick time. The A&P is a morally bankrupt company that deserves to go belly up..
Video is so true, definately an awesome job on the video! I used to work for A & P, had 21 years there before we were sold up the river and the company showed us, they closed the doors on us back in 2007. That was horrible both husband and I worked there. I agree let the suits work on a holiday and see what it is like, afterall that is one way of them fattening their pockets!
Ok I too work for A&P and am very pissed by what has happened. To add insult to Injury I have heard that by next year all the stores will be open on Christmas. They give us off one holiday a year and now on top of everything else we've given up they want that too. I say HELL NO. The suits can work Christmas

Second...my heart goes out to you. I'm a vendor and have made many friends in many stores and I feel horrible for you guys...but kiddo does have a point. You guys still have jobs and there are tons of people out there who would kill to be in your shoes as opposed to dreading the day their unemployment runs out. Not saying it makes what he/she said ok as you are justifiably pissed off, but yeah...things could've been worse. Way worse.
