The Captain writes below that "Iris was working as a help animal". There are service animals aka helper animals like dogs for blind people but I don't see Iris performing actual tasks for Bob. However, the Wikipedia article also links to "comfort animals". Iris would easily fit in that category. Is that you meant, captainkruse?
wait what? they actually let you travel with a pet in the passenger cabin? did you have to get some sort of a pet seat or something? which airline was it?
When I was on Delta returning from Phoenix, the man beside me had a cat with him. But his was in a carrier, and he wouldn't let me look at the kitty.
It was a good cat. Mine would have been yowling up a storm throughout the entire plane ride. She did that when we moved and had to take her to her new home. She even meowed all day long for a week after she got there.
Iris was working as a help animal. Otherwise cats need to be in their carrier at all times, and underneath the seat ahead of you, so no bulkhead seats.
Iris really earns her keep! Blessings, Ang
