My question is this; How could a provision just get "slipped into" the patriot act? Didn't any of our elected representatives read the Patriot Act before they signed it, and then signed it again years later?
What happened to "We the people" people? Better state your opinions to those that can do something or risk the ability & freedom to state it at all.
the Act was changed at 3 am the day it was introduced to Congress (at 11 am. It was a 250-300 pg act (not sure of exact pages). Nobody could get through it, esp. considering they didn't even know until waking up.
Ok, what about the renewal of the Patriot Act? I think they had plenty of time to get through it before they voted to continue it. Also, each one has a handfull of aids to read it and paraphrase for them in a pinch.
