The Thing 1982 was pretty intense. DOTD was OK-effects wise, but hard to be the original. Haven't seen any of the others you listed except Cat People and I never went one way or another on that one-Natassja Kinski was way hot in it. I am a huge fan of Italian horror and 70's horror-Fulci and Argento.

I think the remake was better then 2 out of five. I think it is more like 3.5 out of five but just my opinion, just like yours.
