  • the order of the best covers for this song is:

    - Paul McCartney

    - Little Richards

    - Chuck Berry

    - Wanda Jackson

    - Elvis Presley

  • @Tenaz001 you got it backwards little richars first

  • dont listen to this after listening to Little Richard

    booooooooo

  • コレはこれで大アリですね。上品だ。

  • this version sounds so messy.

  • elvis sucks let lil Richard sing

  • @jarvissism elvis does this better than little richard, but paul mccartney sings it even better!

  • @FabFM I respectfully disagree... I don't think ANYBODY sang this song with as much fire as Little Richard!

  • Comment removed

  • beatles ver is the best imo

  • @goharshahid93 Where did you hear him say that?

  • fucking horrible version

  • the beatles however controlled so i heard by the record company, their worst song blows elvis anytime. any of us could sing at least as good as elvis

  • i bet he was better at karate than singing!

  • Thief

  • Actually, only Little Richard really did the sped up R&B rock and roll.

  • To MrSoulful69:

Elvis did not "steal" black music, he was one of many of that era who loved it and was not afraid to bring it to white America. He instigated British bands of the 1960s to bring us John Lee Hooker, Howlin' Wolf and others.

  • no offense 2 the king but THIS SUCKS! little richards is the best BY FAR

  • God Americans are idiots.

Just listen to the music. Kill each-other because of the color of your skin later ok

  • i am surprised and ashamed at the racism in this country. i thought we were working on civil rights and on youtube, on an elvis song, all this racist talk. really? really? i still maintain elvis sang delta blues style because that is what he was exposed to. no different than buddy guy plays chicago style blues. now, i've just talked about a black man and a white man in the same sentence. sling away with all your ignorant racist comments. all these people are extremely talented, period.

  • Little Richard merged the fire of gospel with New Orleans R&B, pounding the piano and wailing with gleeful abandon. His falsetto and honking melody make him the best rock and roll vocalist that influenced all heavy metal band vocalists and punk bands.

  • Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti" was covered by Pat Boone of all people and did better on the charts in the same week that Little Richard released his. "Blue Suede Shoes" was originally a Carl Perkins song and "Shake, Rattle, and Roll" was a Bill Haley tune. Elvis covered songs cause that's how music worked back then.

  • @alattimer04 You made a mistake. Rock and Roll is "black music". Pat Boone and Elvis picked up those songs just to clean up rock and roll, cos rock and roll was rejected by white citizens. That´s the true history.

  • Elvis stole 'black' music? Bunch of arrogant pricks, early rock and roll was a fusion of country with rhythm and blues etc etc. Isnt country music 'white'? Do you hear anybody saying little Richard stole country music from white people? No!

  • @armbar Moreover, r&b is jazz+ blues.

  • Elvis is Little Richard in slow motion.

  • Go to Rukuscovering for Don't be Cruel and Long Tall Sally.

  • Many people have done this song, even Pat Boone! I was a big Elvis fan in the fifties when I was a teenager. I have the Elvis studio version of this song which is better than this. But I was also a great Little Richard fan, and I must say, no one can do Long Tall Sally like Mr Little Richard Penniman.

  • Lame compared to Little Richard!!

  • Now i see what Little Ritchard was talking about ! they did all take it from him!

  • When I heard this I almost choked from laughter!!!! This sounds like CRAP!!!! this song is little Richards anyways! man if your going to steal something at least dot suck at it LMAO :D....sry elvis try again...or rather not. Haaaaa!

  • Stolen work horrible at that

  • Wow, lots of assholes out there! You've never sung someone else's song before? Dumb fucking douchebags. He's still Elvis Presley and you're nobody. Live with it.

  • The first song that Paul MacCartney sang in public was "Long Tall Sally" one of the anthem of rock history. LONG LIVE LITTLE RICHARD.

  • Leave it to the original king of rock and roll.

  • sorry elvis god bless your soul but this is little richard's song an it will always be his no one can duplicate it

  • Elvis fail.

  • this is the gay version

  • nobody does it like little richard,,sorry elvis

  • just needs to be more aggresive and ill say it'll just be fine

  • Weak, compared to Little Richard.

  • HOW DARE HE COVER OTHER PEOPLE'S SONGS?!?!?! :O

  • @TheDJGrandPa he released it first. it was common for a song originally done by a black artist to be recorded by a white artist to fit the market. common place back then.

  • @robbotubeandthat I wasn't being serious... I mean, for God's sake, he's making a cover!

  • Elvis had a great voice.

  • Fuck Elvis Presley for coping "Little Richard"!!!

  • DAMN RIGHT THATS WAT I SAID

  • ugh.... this dude been stealing Black music since the start of his career.. How do pple like this fool.

  • @MrSoulful69 It's not stealing. nob.

  • @Amiles666 ohhh im sorry.. i thought taking something thats not yours without permission.. and not giving an credit to the other person what so ever.. was stealing.hmm silly me..smh

  • @MrSoulful69 Cause he isn't black, duh. Silly nigger.

  • @EpicTrollBeastMan whatever man.. love it when u white pple always talk shit.. but dont wanna do shit.. when its time to throw those hands.. so fuck off u inbreed cousin fucker..

  • @MrSoulful69 Yeah okay... I've been around the block boy and you people are the ones who only sling that jaw unless you got 5 monkeys backing you. When you do fight you throw hands like a 6 year old girl, all wild and shit. You black are worthless, you depend on whites to stay alive. Without our taxes you wouldn't have food, shelter, or clothing. You are a failed race with no significant history or accomplishment, just face it and stfu.

  • @EpicTrollBeastMan ;O Yawwwwn you bore me man.. jus watch your step and dont fall on a rusted nail and die.. cause what would the world be without u..

  • @EpicTrollBeastMan <---He walked in on his mother being fucked by a black guy thus traumatizing him for life and leading to such racist comments..plus he's got troll in his name..please no one take him seriously

  • @MrSoulful69 you're an idiot. he's playing the kind of freaking music he was exposed to. what makes him performing black or white? racist pig.

  • @tlynch1218 well your wrong fucko.. like i told tha rest of u dumb ass pple.. do your research on Elvis and this was not the only song he Stole, yes I said stole from other black artist without permission.. and there was nothing Little Richard could do cause of the times back then.. and im not racist.. im just telling the facts..

  • @MrSoulful69 its a cover dude....

  • @Hatinonthehaters well dude.. if your were smart dude.. Little Richard came out with the same song the same year.. dude.. tell me how many artist you know does the same song the same year w/o permission.. or credit to the original artist..tell me that DUDE..Smh

  • @MrSoulful69 Well, at least he was doing a COVER from a man who had a great fucking voice and music, instead of the rap shit that's out today. I can't name one good, soulfull black artist today, that isn't doing the same thing every other rapper/"artist" is doing. Its all about the money. Not about good vocals, not about playing an instrument, just talking about dumb bullshit nobody cares about. Just about hoes and getting fucked up.

  • @MrSoulful69 Fuck off

  • @TheMr1911 Lol whatever man.. hope u dont fall and land on a rusty nail and die.. cause what would the world be without u..

  • @MrSoulful69 Rusty nail? were do you come up with this shit!!!!!

  • @TheMr1911 I said what i said.. dont like it.. go fuck your mother.. or come step to me.. trust me.. you want to take the 1st option ..

  • @MrSoulful69 I'll step on you... if thats what you want.

  • @MrSoulful69 he aint stealing it he's just giving us his version, he wasn't a bad man :)

  • @MrSoulful69 are you fucking serious?

  • @electriclimits Fam.. this was a long time ago..when I said this calm down.. But i did do the research and the song Nothing But A Hound Dog was orignally written and performed by a Black artist by the name of Big Mama Thourton.. and Elvis took that song without permission and didnt give her any credit or royalties from it.... so yeah IM FUCKING SERIOUS..

  • just proved that elvis wasnt as original as people think... richard will always bee the reall king of rock n roll..though elvis had a smooth voice..but he will never have the fire..and energy that richie had when he hit that stage

  • @thatbboyrandom1 look up dixieland rock or burning love live. jerry lee lewis was also very crazy live

  • Comment removed

  • Well it's official, Elvis can't sing a bad song

  • i like all the versions of this song. my favorite is little richard though.

  • The Beatles did a better cover...

  • @Darkblossomxx the beatles? are you drunk?

  • @MrDAFRESHBOY No...they did in my opinion Elvis doesn't know how to raise his voice.......Though little Richard will always be the best, Paul McCartney did a way better job than Elvis.even Little Richard complemented Paul on his version..So no im not drunk you ass.

  • The Beatles FTW !!!!

  • beatles yersion is the best

  • @0652411 agreed

  • Elvis never died!

  • I dislike cover versions artists and Elvis was champion of doing it. He must pay back all black artists he covered.

  • Little Richards is so much better!

Elvis was a great singer, that's it, he's not the "king of rock and roll"

I mean, he's done some good songs, some brilliant songs really, but they are not his own work.

  • elvis was high as fuck always. he was cool in my books

  • no se compara no litle richard!!!! no le da la voz!!

  • no se compara no litle richard!!!!

  • Elvis é bom, (MAS LITLLE RICHARD É BEM MELHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR).

  • like this song but who sang this song first Elvis or the Beatles

  • @66Uncharted little richard...

  • @66Uncharted little richard dude. just to give u some background, many people covered little richard. cuz little richard was the shit. supposedly the real king of rock. learned it in my music genesis class today. little richard's version is the best.

  • @kremeztutorials little Richard was shit, he was greatest

Elvis may have been the king, Richard was the Queen

  • @kremeztutorials The Beatles cover is the best version..Little Richard is great and all and an icon and a legend but Paul McCartney DESTROYS(in a very good way) the vocals in The Beatles cover

  • @MrMojoRisin53 You must be outside your DAMN mind if you think McCartney can do anything better than Richard. I listened to the beatles version of this song right before elvis'. Elvis' version is better than the beatles, but not better than Richard...so you know what that means.

  • @Neptunz05 That's your personal opinion, I think as do many other people that The Betles cover is the best cover song of all-time. I find it very stereotypical for Elvis and other fans of people who are associated with The Beatles to downgrade what they did and how good they were..why? I'm not sure but they are the best selling most critically acclaimed and influential band of all time-time for a reason, The Beatles are better instrumentally and Elvis and Richard cant touch Paul's vocals so..idk

  • @MrMojoRisin53 Exactly that's not to take anything away from the other two but you're comparing them the the greatest of all-time. It's lke saying Kobe isn't great because Michael Jordan was better. The BEatles are the best cover band of all-time as well and every song they touched they made better, including Long Tall Sally

  • @MrMojoRisin53 The beatles were a white band and this is a predominantly white country, so i'm sure that had something to do with it. We know who the top selling artist of all time is, right? Richard had the best rock and roll voice, there's no way a SOULESS band could ever fuck with him.

  • @Neptunz05 Incredibly racist and narrow-minded statament. The Beatles worked with many black artists, and most of the songs they covered early on were from black artists, Muddy Waters was one of John's biggest influences, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, hell they even covered female black artists. The Beatles were the best because they were the best. And the so called '5th Beatles' was Billy Preston..black man..This is why racism exists today, because of people like you injecting it into everything

  • @Neptunz05 Also..The Beatles arn't even from America so why even bring them into this argument, they were just one country The Beatles hit number 1, they also hit number 1 in India, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Zimbabwe, Ethopia and many more so explain how that happened if the only reason they were the biggest is because they were white and sold a ton of albums in America..they sold the most albums in the WORLD, dont be so short sighted

  • @Neptunz05 Why bring race into this? And The Beatles were soulless? News to me..have you even listened to The Beatles besides their number 1's and songs that everyone knows. Have you ever listened to Strawberry Fields or Tomorrow Never Knows?Yer Blues, Something, Oh Darling, The fucking Abby Road Medley? How can you say such an ignorant thing..once again this isn't about race it's about talent and when you had 3 of the top 5 song writers ever in one group..well the rest as they say is history

  • @shway05 The only songs of theirs that I liked was "twist and shout" and "come together". Come together was actually kind of flat, then MJ got a hold of it and made it HOT. Whenever the beatles covered a song made by a black person, they make it sound like the worse song ever made. These guys are fully capable of taking a hot song and turning it to shit.

  • @Neptunz05 1.6 billion albums sold, most number 1 singles..i mean i could list accolades for days. You just don't want to admit you're wrong or that someone you don't like is better. Rolling Stone magazine who are not racist in the least ranked the Beatles almost unanimously number 1 on greatest artists of all-time ranking by dozens of record company CEOs, musicians, writers etc and on thier list of best albums they had number 1, 3, 5, 10, and 14th albums of all-time

  • @Neptunz05 Here's Little Richard is ranked 50, pretty damn impressive, but The Beatles had like 7 of their albums ahead of his and even more behind him on the list while this is his only appearance..they cahnged the world like no other musicians ever have and thats undeniable, i eman they're still today outselling modern artists, they debuted on ITunes and sold like 3 million albums their first week, their hits compilation is about to reach the most sold of all-time..not debatable

  • @Neptunz05 There isn't one even remotely bad song on Abbey Road, that album is a fucking masterpiece, have you ever even listened to The Medley? A Day in the Life is one of the most progressive and important songs ever recorded, Strawberry Fields is the song that made The Beach Boys Brian Wilson pull over when he heard it close his eyes and admit defeat, they had made the sounds no one else could, they took rock/pop music to places it hadnt been before and hasnt been since

  • @MrMojoRisin53 You've seriously lost your DAMN mind. I just listened to a few seconds of that Abbey road medley song by the beatles and it just as boring as the rest of their songs. Only a geek can sit and listen to this crap. I honestly don't understand why they were so popular, this is one of the worst little boy bands I've ever seen. You compare these clowns to little richard? Are you crazy?

  • @Neptunz05 You just proved that you didn't listen to it. The Abbey Road Medley isn't a song, it's a series of songs all by Lennon and McCartney bouncing off each other and just running for the whole B-Side of the album..You Never Give me your money, Sun King, Mean Mr.Mustard, Polythene Pam, She came in through the bathroom window, golden slumbers, carry that weight, then End..that is the Abbey Road Medley

  • @Neptunz05 If you consider the Beatles a "little boy band"--and "one of the worst," at that--and say that "only a geek can sit and listen to" Abbey Road--you're a perfect dipshit.

  • @smanticus ???

  • @66Uncharted None of them it was Little Richard..

  • @66Uncharted The original was done by Little Richard, but Elvis did it before the beatles

  • man im so fuckn mad fuck elvis this is little richard song get this shit out of here

  • @kwajalyn1 they just use to take are shit in make way more money than black ppl did

  • this is bull shit fuck elvis this is little richards song get this shit out of here

  • Sad part is i watched this right after i watched the little richard original ...and it dosent even compare

  • xD Elvis can't scream. But this songs the shizzz though ;)

  • thats rockabilly

  • l i t t l e richard s the best

  • WOOWWW, YES

  • little richard did it way better bru

  • paul did it better LR says he is the best white screamer

  • HELL NAWL....IM SORRI BUT DIS IS SUM BS.....LITTLE RICHARD DID IT BEST....CUZ DIS SOUND LIKE SUM MESS....

  • lol they had three instruments like poor guitars. elvis was golden but the crowd barely reacted anyway. he was much better at the armory the crowd was crazy when he was singing this.

  • the background music is soooo out of phase

  • FUCK ELVIS

  • fuck you

  • fuck you

    elvis is the best

  • Stop Hating on Elvis and The Beatles. Both were outstanding and amazing artist. Elvis was John Lennon's inspiration back when John was apart of his first band The Qeurry Men. Just like "John" (not The Beatles) Tried Following Elvis, Bands like Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Micheal, Ect. Followed The Beatles.

  • @BrentMan870 FUCK U CRACKER LITTLE RICHARD IS GRATER THAN BOTH OF EM PUT TOGATHER

  • @cameronsjeffries I have to agree, because of his song. The only difference between the Beatles and Little Richard, is that The Beatles changed the world, but Little Richard can be credited because, along with Elvis, Little Richard inspired John Lennon.

  • @BrentMan870 but elvis also changed the world and how white people view black people. the way he sang and his moves were completely new to white people.

  • youtuk

  • FUCK Elvis!!

  • @Doodie006 fuck you !

  • ELVIS SUCKS! AND HE'S A MUSIC THEIF!

  • @bobby200606 AND YOU SUCK MICHAEL JACKSON'S DEAD COCK!

  • John Fogerty's version smokes this !.

  • Sexual Tyrannosaurus!...

  • WTF IS THIS SHIT .____. ... lil richard is the rial king of rock

  • I'll tell you what rubbish is. People continuously drinking the Beatles cool aid and stiffling their competitors to make it look look they are the biggest thing since ELVIS.

  • @donn409

The Beatles were great, Elvis went home, Little richard was great for this song...plus Paul got the tone right for the damn song so, shut up.

  • @deltasquadftw Paul didn't even sing all the f*cking words to the damn song. So, you shut the f*ck up!

  • @donn409

Fuck you, and must I say that The Beatles were better then most rockers in that time but ranked 2nd to little richard and elvis hit 3-5, just let it be

  • @deltasquadftw I'm not queer, so I wont let you f*ck me. The Beatles were nothing more than go behinders following in ELVIS' footsteps. Don't be cruel to ELVIS!

  • @donn409

I don't fucking care about elvis, sure The Beatles had Elvis as a hero but they made their own stuff most the time.

    End of disscussion

  • @deltasquadftw So, I don't f*cking care about the Beatles. Sure, the Beatles wrote their own stuff most of the time but ELVIS outsang and danced them everytime. INCLUDING THIS TRACK! End of discussion!

  • rubbish compared to little Richard's version

  • @irocladdreadnought thats true, elvis is unrivaled, but this song is done far better by L.R.

  • @irocladdreadnought

not rubbish, but not as good as little richard's

  • Dead ass...!!!

  • Dead ass..!!!

  • @irocladdreadnought u should hear the 5/16/56 version. its actually better than l richards version. and i am a l richard fan.

  • 3 TRUE KING OF ROCK: CHUCK BERRY, LITTLE RICHARDS and JERRY LEE LEWIS.

  • little richard song

  • If Elvis had kept that James Dean look longer, he would have been more successful in the 60's, 70's. He is still the king!.

  • straight from lil richard

  • The Beatles held Elvis on a pedistal as we " common" folk hold all of them, yet they all put their pants on the same as we do every morning .. The Beatles were well-disappointed with their "real-life" meetings with Elvis and he was equally upset with how their "British Invasion" rather put him out to pasture, if you will .. nonetheless, do you think Elvis and Lennon are trying to recruit Harrison to join a band up in Heaven ? ..

  • @mgreeno333 I think ELVIS is waiting on Scotty Moore and James Burton to join him in Heaven. Hank Garland died not too long ago, so ELVIS already has one of his lead guitarists in Heaven. I don't know if Harrison would've been a right fit in a ELVIS band. It sure would've sounded different.

  • @donn409 Elvis isn't dead he just went home.

  • @taberr5 He's in Heaven.

  • Give me 5 songs that Elvis didn't take from somebody. And I'll give you 50 that he did. He wasn't the only one that did this back in those days but I'm just sick of people talking about Elvis like he's some great artist. Tell me 10 of Elvis biggest hits and I'll give you the name of the black artist you never heard of that he took it from.

  • @TENCI08 Had it not been for ELVIS "stealing" as you put it, groups like the Beatles would've never existed. John Lennon said it himself, "Without ELVIS there wouldn't have been a Beatles." The fact that ELVIS became the megastar that he became is a testament to his talent and charisma. You said it yourself, "He wasn't the only one that did this back in those days." Don't write him off because of something someone else said.

  • @donn409 You said to name 10 songs and you would name the original singers so I've listed 10. 1. Heartbreak Hotel 2. I Want You, I Need You, I love You 3. Don't Be Cruel 4. Love Me Tender 5. Too Much 6. All Shook Up 7. (Let Me Be Your) Teddy Bear 8. Jailhouse Rock 9. Don't 10. Hard Headed Woman- You said original singer, not songwriter.

  • @donn409 THE BEATLES STILL WOULD have been THE BEATLES without Elvis .. Elvis merely was an initial inspiration with his surpurb voice channeling across the English Channel on some wavelength radio .. Ths Beatles admired Elvis and they always tried to imitate his voice, even up to Lennon's .. "Starting Over" .. in 1980 .. as for Elvis and The Beatles ever being "friends" .. NO! Watch The BEATLES ANTHOLOGY as for what they had to say out of their own mouths !
