yeah 12.9 is pretty fast in the quarter that nova aint stock believe me.it has some mods to run this time. even yenko novo camaro could be capable of running this time stock back in the 60s only the copo special order musclecars ran 12s all the others were in the 14s stock!
@geiner66 chevy did produce a camaro that wasn't modified by yenko and it did high 12's to low 13's off the showroom floor with the stck bias ply tires on it, it was the '69 ZL1 option it had the all aluminum 427 big block in it

that civic was easily a low 13 sec car. He spun first and instead of shifting it early he redlined it a quarter of the way up the track and than threw second. He lost a good 2 seconds. yeah 12.9 is pretty fast in the quarter that nova aint stock believe me.it has some mods to run this time. even yenko novo camaro could be capable of running this time stock back in the 60s only the copo special order musclecars ran 12s all the others were in the 14s stock!

@luke26126 the only way you couldnt drive a drag nova to work every day is if its a fiberglass body tube frame drag car. most of the drag cars you see are street legal. by the way this nova ran the 1/4 mile i would say its either stock or very close to stock. there are alot of street legal novas, chargers, camaros, etc that run the quarter in high 9s low 10s.

that civic was easily a low 13 sec car. He spun first and instead of shifting it early he redlined it a quarter of the way up the track and than threw second. He lost a good 2 seconds. I dont like civics and choose a Nova over any import except 240sx but that civic could of made the race alot closer. The owner of the muscle car is probably a 40 yr old mexican or white man whos at the car for 20yrs and the civic driver is probably a 18 yr old puerto rican ricer addicting to redlining.
