Before then, you could mainly only use credit cards at department & grocery stores. Many people felt uneasy about using credit cards for small purchases, especially at places that used to be cash-only & there were rumors that in time, cash would no longer be accepted. So this commercial is catering to those people who did not like this change to credit cards at the time!

I remember this commercial, it was hilarious. I think there were some others with Seth Green that probably aired before this one.

It sounds so old fucking fashioned now! What the fuck happened? A buck ninety seven sounds like a joke, especially given how INCREDIBLE Rally's fries were.

(Rally's was a low-rent franchise chain, operating in the cheapest shacks; so did Domino's, in the 90s).

@Wraythhmark Where I live at we still have a Rally's. Fries are still good and actually for the most part its still crazy cheap, compared to Burger King and McDonalds. I hardly ever eat fast food but if i get a craving for fries i go to Rally's they are so good. :)
