I think it's just down to where you actually live, I mean Gavin and Stacey is obsivational comedy, which I find ridulously funny, as I do with most british comedy shows, but American scomedy shows, I like few but I find most of them quite dull, I mean the American version of the office was just awfull (In my opinion) but I'm sure that if I lived in the US I would find it really funny :D

It's got naff-all to do with "selling out", it's business, and if you think otherwise you have a very naive view of the entertainment business. If you were them, you'd do no different. No I am not American you utter fools! I'm British, which makes all your self-assumed responses even more hilarious! Funnier than this clip - that's for sure.... not that that would be particularly hard! This clip would have been very funny in the 80's, but the humour is over 20 years behind the times. And yes, British comedy, when done right, is easily the best in the world. This is not an example of that. Not even close. A complete waste of Mathew Horne's considerable talents!

Don't knock all Americans. I love the original version of The Office. Steve Carrell plays the David Brent character way too over the top. The brilliance was in the subtlety.

Just watching the pilots of both (which were the same script), Pam & Michael were miscast on the American version. Jim is the only one who is true to the original (Tim/Martin Freeman).

James Corden is funny in anything, even an interview.
