bro i live in newark.... and i would love to train at your facility at least one time. the only problem is i'm dead broke so i have to wait till my situation is better lol
300 + lbs does not bounce...try droppin it on your chest to see if it bounces...it was their force and strength which popped it up quick.....and their not bodybuilding, strength training...JUST GET IT UP!
When you're strength training you're focus isn't perfect form.Your focus is to get the most out of every rep.On board presses what you called bouncing is the result of the athlete having to generate max effort upward in a shorter range of motion so contact with the board is as minimal as possible. You just watched guys on their way into the league&at least 1 i saw thats already IN the NFL. Joe D has one of the premier gyms in NJ&has trained guys we watch on tv; he must be doing something right.
I totally agree. When you go for max lifts form breaks down some. When form is perfect you aren't at your max. With that said form is to insure maximal safety and efficiency in a "specific" lift. You need to look at the goals of the lift. These quys seem to be focusing on maximal explosive strength in a short range of motion, so they are doing it right with regard to their goal.

actually it does bounce. its depression of your sternum and then the rebound on the way up. It builds more force and makes exercise easier.

most of these guys have horrible form dropping the weight and bouncing it off. How in the heck is that going to get you stronger?
