  • You drew a master card!

  • Can i check, can you only use one skill per action? Whether its free or not?

  • @FunkyFox40 My understanding is that free actions can be taken as often as you like. Is there a particular skill you are thinking of?

  • @WatchItPlayed Sorry, i more meant the player abilities, such as the 1/2 you get on the card and the ones you gain each time you advance

  • @FunkyFox40 Unless the card or special ability specifically calls it an "action" then it is free. I looked through all of the abilitites on the hero cards, and none of them were actions (except for 1 which said, "in place of the rally action, do").

    Does that make sense?

  • @WatchItPlayed Yes thanks, that clears it up for me. Hope you enjoyed your holiday!

  • (05);(37) "Its a traaaaaaap"

  • "It's a TRAAAAAP" Nice one andrea,never saw this quote coming.kkk

  • Hahahahaha, when Andrea tells Rodney she has the Poison Dagger you can heare him mutter "Oh yeah?...."

  • @Morsemorta It's priceless! You really see him feeling the backstabbing!

  • Thank the Gods that that awful moustache is gone!

  • @pupsenok lol, you're not the only glad to see it go - ask my wife!

  • With her high skill, evading the mole shouldn't be too hard for Andrea, and it will leave it to slow down Rodney. The treasure south could be anything, useful or useless in equal likelihood, and she already has a good item, so at this point it seems going along the strategy of Move, kill, heal, move, wash/rinse/repeat is a good idea for now. Advancing in level will mean that even point of skill and another of the potentially very helpful abilities to add to the elf's arsenal.

    Evade + explore!

  • Wow, Andy hs a real vicious streak!! Stay on her good side. Looks like a player you will need to try and avoid. I do not think she can be trusted.

  • @DayInDaLife Glad someone else sees this :)

  • this was a fun one! you three seem to really enjoy playing together, and are all funny and clever. it really elevates something that would be boring in another group's hands into a delight.

  • @RiddleFlowOn Wow, thanks for that. We try to keep it interesting.

You raise a good point though. It's hard to seperate ones "gaming experience" while playing a game, from the game itself, don't you think? A real stinker of a game can be fun to play if you're playing with people helping to create a fun gaming experience. Likewise, a potentially great game can be brought low by a group that just isn't clicking.

  • @RiddleFlowOn (Part 2) It makes me wonder how many games I never revisited because the gaming experience put me off the game, rather than the game itself.

  • @WatchItPlayed in reply to your comments: yes, a good game can be brought low by jerky jerks. but a bad game is always gonna be a bad game, no matter the company. you might have a laugh at it, but you won't want to play it again.

so, while i agree with you that gaming's all about the people you game with, i was referiing more to the experience of being tallked through a game and its rules. this can be really dull despite a game's quality. but you and your snarky brood keep it fun.

  • @RiddleFlowOn Heh, yes, I suppose a terrible game will likely always be terrible. It's probabaly more accurate to say a middle of the road game might get a second look if it weren't for a bad inital experience. It's all very subjective. I know games I don't enjoy at all, that others play over and over. How much of that is based on the game mechanics, and how much is based on the phsychology of those initial experiences with the game? Hard to say.

  • Great job Smith family! Keep up the good work.

  • Rodney,...that roll box is the bomb. (complete with edge for comparison)...

    ...where are the blueprints?!?!?!!

  • @JChalant

no seriously...gimme the schematics so I can build one. LOL. it's totally a perfect roll box.

  • @JChalant It's a picture frame from the dollar store, with the glass removed and red felt put in its place. Nifty, right?

  • @WatchItPlayed Sounds like you could sell 'Watch it Played' branded roll boxes!

  • @rocknec1 I knew there was a way I could make money off this series! Now if only that picture frame hadn't cost me $10 to begin with (dollar stores aren't what they used to be).

  • Yes, everybody loves Andrea show :D

  • STAY AWAY FROM ANDREA!!! (too late...) her "Burn" Ability can be a back stab in disguise, I would not trust her, stay close Rodney, be good to him. Maybe make a peace pact? Andrea is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Also the Green Tile location "The Den" could be turned into a temporary mob grinder, could be a good way to level up quickly, so I would consider backing in there if just once. BTW Great call with the Mole Movement!!! I hope he kills her as poetic justice!

  • evade monster so on downed characters turn they have to deal with it

  • What happened to the moustache?

  • Rodney pull a good one on the Mole, if Andrea take out the Mole, he would be safe. If Andrea fail, Mole would knock her down, then Rodney may attempt to run or attack and he won't lose much other than another turn laying on the floor... so why not. Making Andrea dropping her blade is more important at the moment I feel.

I vote for helping Rodney btw :)

  • Andrea can evade. That way when Rodney can only stand up on his turn, since he spent an entire turn with the Mole ogre on his tile without battling it, the mole ogre would get a free battle action on Rodney.

  • @Jarax4 and @FonzietheCapybara thanks for the clarification. Also I think that 'undead' is a type of hero race, which is described on the hero card next to their name. Paelleall is an Elf, Dorgan is a Dwarf, and The Fourth Vessel is a Human, so she can use the dagger against him.

  • Is that dice rolling tray part of the game, or did you buy/build that?

  • @serpentwind He mentioned in the first or second video that he made it out of a picture frame and some red felt. Great addition to the game though!

  • Questions:

I noticed on the poisoned dagger it says "This poisoned dagger does not affect....undead heroes". How does a hero become "Undead?"

Also, is it possible to move north from Andrea/Rodney's location? The mole ogre is covering it up, and I don't believe the tile was shown anywhere in the video.

Thanks again Rodney, and keep up the good work.

  • @Jarax4 As Ricknec says, this would be a Hero "type" written on the card, and there are no Undead Hero types in this set, which means.... expansions are coming!

  • Great job once again. I agree that Luke's reactions are worthy of a show on their own.

I agree with evading the monster and moving east. Going back for the treasure is just not worth it. However, we will have to move the mole ogre during the roaming phase. I would suggest moving it one tile to the west as that will force Rodney to either move towards the ogre, into the den, or follow us where we can attack him again. Luke can then roam the ogre onto Rodney's tile next round.

  • Nicely done Andrea! I support your move to attack your dad. It will allow you to get some separation from him as you blaze your trail into the dungeon. Also, when you did the player on player attack, couldn't you also have used your 'burn' ability to add one more damage? If so, you could have used another die to block, thus receiving no damage, and killing him! Now move East, kill a monster if you can (and pick up a treasure if there is one so Rodney doesn't get the loot from your battle).

  • @rocknec1 The Blaze ability costs 1 of your 2 action to use, it's not a free extra damage when you attack

  • @FonzietheCapybara I think you meant the Burn ability, but everything else you said is correct. Andrea had already used her 2 actions for the turn by moving and attacking, so she could not have used the Burn ability. The Burn ability card states, "As a special action..." which means it costs one of your 2 actions allowed per turn.

  • Great fun as always guys, Luke's reactions to events is worthy of a show on its own.

I think evading the monster and leaving it for Rodney to deal with is the best plan; with 5 life Andrea would have to be very lucky to defeat it in a single battle action... and she's no Luke when it comes to rolling!

Go explore further into the Dungeon, see if there's an easier monster to deal with.

  • If it was me playing, I would evade the monster and head south twice and investigate what the treasure is. Let Rodney or Luke deal with the monster.

  • Big fan of The Andrea Show!

  • She fights .... dad levels up and luke breaks whats left of the mommy .... sending that mommy back to its mommy ....

  • "Hey dad... you're looking pretty beat up there. Let me stab you in the back!" With such plot twists I am becoming a fan of the Andrea show. As for the plan for next turn... I'd say we should run from the creature and continue exploring. We just trained our "Skill" making it easier to escape. Besides, the way Rodney has been rolling leads me to believe he will get knocked out again. I mean... we'll give Rodney the chance to prove his toughness against the beast!

  • Oh, and sorry about the abuse you are taking from your kids, Rodney! lol

  • YAAAAY! More running in the dungeon! Good video, Smiths!
