Excellent! I think the '81 Coupe` was my favorite of these. I think that year, when NASCAR downsized, the Mopar teams should have used these and Dodge Diplomats rather than Imperials, Cordobas & Dodge Miradas. These later three cars seemed too big and heavy to run good for Buddy Arrington and the other Chrysler drivers. Any Idea why These teams didn't use them?
lol, lebaron, I had a 85 2.2 turbo lebaron and the turbo was loud and sounded just a fire siren. I never heard a turbo that sounded the same since, It started to burn oil at 80k then I wrecked it, RIP. It was mint in 01 when I wrecked it.
owned a 94 lebaron...one of the better cars from chrysler i must say....i sold it for 300 bucks when it blew radiator and the turn signals stopped working.....ouch, lol...besides that it was a nice A to B cruiser...i wont lie
The only thing I can comment on is that the didnt make a Chrysler Lebaron Sedan in 1995 as it ended production in early 2004 in favor of the Chrysler Cirrus. The on the other hand did make a Chrysler Lebaron GTC Convertible in 1995.
Yesterday, April 30 of 2009; Chrysler went into bankruptcy. Lets help Chrysler Corporation buying their cars instead of all that asian crap that is now running on our highways.
dude..dont bash asian cars...ive owned lots of cars..american, jap, u name it....america has some good cars...but jap car just run better...no doubt about it
Are you kidding me? My 1979 LeBaron was without question the worst car I have ever owned, and it had low miles and was in perfect condition. But it took a superhuman effort to keep that stupid thing running. I can't even recall how many paychecks I spent and different mechanics I went to, trying to figure out why that piece of crap car would not run.
Luck of the draw, I guess. I never had any trouble with mine and still have fond memories of blasting it through snowbanks while everyone else was breaking their backs shoveling out their cars the old fashioned way. Sorry about yours though.
@heydanno777 we had it was a dutch car volvo took over.it was volvo 340 1.4 winner automatic.ride as a tank.evry month in 10 years motor vibrate we had to take for a repair.evry monyh repair next motor vibrate it happend
my first car was a 1980 lebaron two-door. handled great, looked great, and i beat the crap out of it like the punk kid i was but it wouldn't die. it was the only car on the road that had fully variable intermittent wipers at that time, too. always thought that was kind of cool.
I've got an 88' GTC. My dads first new car. The wastgate on the turbos welded shut so its a bit radical (actually it kinda rusted shut and we didn't do anything about it) :P
my 81 sedan has the 225 slant with a 2.45 rear end. VERY slow off the line, but picks up around 20-25mph. 145hp and 215ft/lbs of tq pushing 5,000 lbs of detroit steel doesnt make for much speed, but the slant will never die!
Fantastic......but was it owned by Jon Voight ??

When they try to make these cars look upper class it just comes across as tacky, no need for that.

I love those cars, in Mexico we also have the "Magnum" which is similar to the Aries but it has turbo, I have three of them.

Only thing missing is the mid 90's convertibles (LX and GTC I think?) with the non-flip headlights. I had a 95 before I got my 89 TC. :)

your picture for the 1987 is actually a 90+ as it has the newer cockpit door panel.

looking more closely its a 92+ because of the amber tail lights.
