Cool man I got the ASUS Republic of Gamers G-51VX series too. With the Nividia Geforce 260m Graphics Card! ya, but unfortunately I got my ASUS from Bestbuy and didnt get all the accesories and I had to buy a seperate mouse :(. Oh well at least I got this.

Sorry for correcting you, but I think that's an IEEE1394 FireWire port. And to those that say that's a subwoofer, it isn't, it is, in fact a cooler grill...although on previous models it's actually covered up with some kind of material, don't know why, maybe for pressure generation.

The The Dell XPS Studio 16 is overpriced for what you get. No way am I paying $400 just for a blu ray drive and 9 cell battery! Can't really compare the two as the Dell XPS 16 is not designed for gaming and does NOT come with a quad-core CPU or any option to upgrade the graphics card to a GTX260M - NUFF SAID!!

The Dell XPS Studio 16 is a much nicer looking laptop, with better speakers, bluray, 9-Cell battery, and a nicer display. But the G51vx -A1 has more power. I just think it looks very cheesy. I'm debating, but leaning towards the Dell. Will wait a bit and see if anything else comes out. I wish something that looked like the Macbook with these specs was available. Haven't seen one though. I did hear that Dell has a new type of battery coming out soon that's supposed to last a long time.

You can always go with the G51vx-RX05 instead of the A1, X1A, X2A. The RX05, which is at Best Buy, has a white lid instead of the black and blue lid.

Not white, but instead the same design as the G50vt-X1, which I feel, was the sweetest looking Asus. The X5 looked horrible, the X1 looked fantastic, and they adopted the same design. Good thing too, I don't mind the white one so much, but it looks meh compared to this version. I was gonna get this laptop but got a Sager NP8662 instead. Both are pretty much the same exact laptop, minus design lol. Great laptops.
