Judd had the same protection at WCE as Ablett does now. In fact, the WCE midfield of 04 - 07 was better than Geelongs. Dean Cox, Cousins, Kerr, Braun, Embley.. Since Judd has been at Carlton he has been nowhere near as prolific. If Ablett still manages to be a prolific player at Gold Coast, I think it's safe to say Ablett is the better player.
