very VERY cool!! :D I seen your video on the most discussed list alongside my new video, and Im really happy to have come across it!! :D Increadible that you got to experience such a wonderful journey!! :D
Ho-Lee Friggin Crap! First you run with the bulls then you post a video like this and be all matter of fact about it like no biggie. YOU ARE THE MAN!!! I'm reminded of the Dosequies guy who's allegedly the 'most interesting person in the world'... he aint got nothing on you! Keep it up, can't wait to see how you do Asia.
What an amazing journey up!! I remember mountain climbing in Austria. It was 4300m and that was enough!!! On the way down my toes kept pushing up against my runners, the next day both nails on my big toes were black and blue!! What an experience for you! Great footage too!
@jakesinjapan Thanks for watching - yeah, it was quite challenging... especially considering that I haven't done anything like it before. For me, the most difficult part about it wasn't the climbing, but the altitude... I had a hard time breathing near the top.
I lived in Utah for a few years, there are some really high altitudes up in those mountains--I remember in Boy scouts we would hike and hike and hike, I never once experienced any of that negative sensation-- I could certainly feel the air was thinner, but it didn't phase me.
Then a few years ago I did a much smaller hike, to a much lower altitude, and it almost killed me....
@HowTheWorldWorks, since you're too scared to "debunk" Annie Leonard's "Story of Bottled Water" and "Story of Electronics", how about you debunk this gem n7Fzm1hEiDQ. Since you're a corporate imperialist working for CEI who shills for big corporate interests, "Economic Hitmen" is in effect blowing the cover off those your masters. Up for the "rebutal" challenge? I doubt you got the balls, as per usual, hell you can't even handle Annie Leonard's last 2 videos. LOL
@HowTheWorldWorks Thanks, hopefully the partnership will eventually help me pay off the debt I've accumulated on this trip. I've earned about 50 cents so far... :)
thats incredible!! wow. im sure you were tired, but the view on the top must have been worth it. i only time i trekked up a mountain was in ecuador (i think pichincha is actually a volcano...) and we drove up as much as we could before we got out and hiked...haha
First trip to Colorado when I was younger I tried to climb the first mountain I saw, day 1. I was about 14,000 feet and had to catch my breath every 100 yards. By the time I was there a week it wasn't a problem.
Dang! Well looks like this is how you can pay back all those people you borrowed the money from:)
Congrats! That looked like fun! You're V-Logs are the best. I learned about this mountain in my 7th Grade class, but now we're in 8th grade and it's state history x___x Good luck with everything else and be careful!
@KoreanClownWalk Thanks! It's going to take a long time to pay off my debt, though - I've only earned about 50 cents so far haha... I've just gotta keep putting these videos out and hope that my audience grows.
@ResetLiveGrow Congratz on the partnership! Don't worry, your audience will grow. Your channel is like the hidden gem of youtube. I look forward to watching each of your videos, because they're all really well made, informative, and entertaining. Keep up the good work!
@Dexilight haha, I wish I had rich parents too! lol... I'm taking this entire trip on borrowed money - line of credit and credit cards. I'm taking a huge financial risk to make this happen, but I have a plan that I hope will help to pay for this all in the end.
@JoeJC I felt a little guilty at first, but then I realized that it was physically impossible for one person to carry all that stuff up without assistance. It's necessary to work with a team of people... I was still carrying my personal backpack so I couldn't carry the tents/food. But I really respect the porters for being able to move so quickly up the mountain while carrying such heavy loads!
@Akiramenai The trip down was a lot faster than the trip up. It took 5 days to get up and only 1 day to get down... we moved a lot faster, because there was no need to acclimatise on the way down.
You made it man! That altitude sickness is nothing nice. Should of had some Coca leaves. While in Peru I went to Cuzco (old Inca capital city ) we took a tour up to 12,500 ft. and I couldn't even walk around much. Felt like the back of my head would explode one night. Right on man cool experience!!!!
@MoneyBags73 Yeah, the final approach to the summit was rough! I hardly had any energy left in me, and was moving like a snail. It was difficult to breathe... Sadly, there was one middle-aged man in another climbing group that collapsed and died just as we were getting close to the peak. :(
This is beyond amazing!
