Why not start with the Gospel of John and read from there. By understanding the way God loves us we can understand some of why He did things in the old testament. Light coming from the sun takes about 8 minutes to reach the earth and that means that when you look at the sun you're seeing it as it were 8 minutes ago in the past. I was in prayer one day for a man who had had a stroke when in the Holy Spirit I was in his hospital room. He was having a heart attack. I had to coach him quickly (in the spirit) on accepting the Holy Spirit. Though he is a church person he didn't understand letting God's Holy Spirit in.

Later a friend of his told me in private he had survived a deadly heart attack; it baffled doctors; this heart attack happened on the day at the time I was there in Spirit.

I'm not as interested in the severity as the fact that I experienced that event with the man without being physically present. To have him survive after all the effort I put in was rewarding also. Part two of deadly heart attack? No, the doctors (nurses, aides ...) were not there for him. And it was serious. And he was already just about on his deathbed. And, and, and. I was told this afterward. They were shocked he survived that experience. I believe he is still alive today. I saw him only once again, in person. He was speaking at a company banquet, where he was speaking as a miracle survivor. No one understood how come he made it, but they were glad. He gave a speech.

I have 'lived' without God. It is death. I choose God because He Is.

I would never choose to ask God to move a mountain or heal a whole hospital without His encouragement. There are a lot of ramifications to that, and it is intrusive. But I have seen bigger miracles than even those.

When you look you will see. But doubt is like a window blind, and you have to move it out of the way first.

Love them? I had horrible nightmares of hell as a child, everytime I had a sexual thought, I thought jesus was watching me, I used to pray for atheists because I didn't want them to go to hell. In retrospect, I know I was brainwashed. I don't want children to have to live through that mental scarring.
