Hey ericksonjbe -- the soldier made me cry, so I don't think it was trivialized at all. I have a brother who was deployed to Iraq three times and found no offense in the soldiers roles. This portrayal is intelligent and presents excellent "combat humor" as the character states. Watch it again, and see if you feel differently the second time you watch.

I disagree. This was a powerful statement that truely honored our fallen soldiers. I'm proud to have been part of it.

I would like to know in what way you feel this trivialized our soldiers struggles? I believe what has been done here is to give a voice to some soldiers concerns as well as their families. There was humor added because of the seriousness of the topic. I feel it was needed for the harsh pill that it is. In no way do the film makers take lightly the sacrifices made by the soldiers alive and dead nor their families. That respect is the reason this is in the series.

It's satire. It has to taste bitter in general; in this case even more.
I know how you feel, but let it be said to you that it was not the filmmakers intention to disrespect the honor of the greatest victims of lies and deceit.
To let the speechless be heard, one have to speak even louder and more intense.

i loooove the condi bits at the beginning and the end. and the soldiers provide some of the most heartfelt and absurd moments of the series. excellent work, once again! deft mix of touching and goofy.

Ahhh Snap! Another episode that is off the hook for shizzle! I enjoyed the speech by the soldiers and found it really quite touching... if it wasn't for Condi's hilarity, I'd be balling my eyes out

lol condi is crazy. Bush has a lot of flag pens. Hehe poor headless soldier can't use his mp3 player. Ok I love the headless soldier XD. This is the first time i've been the first view though by the time this is up I may no longer be.
