But the thought of having an expired meal giving me the rumblies on a 7-8 hour flight doesn't sound good. But, like what people have said, don't expect retaurant style meals, especially in lower classes like economy...
I remember when flying was so glamorous and such a pleasure. Everyone would dress up like they were going to church, or a funeral. There were no lavatories, you could just crap yourself right in your seat, and the stewardess would come to help you wipe off. If you needed new pants, they brought them. It was so classy. Today you are lucky if the stewardess is not an unemployed hooker, and if you don't catch crabs from sitting naked on the seat.
If it's so bad fly Business or First. Or better yet, don't fly Delta. You get what you pay for. And Delta gives you more than any other 3-star US Domestic/International carrier. Fly American or United and see how happy you'll be.

I just flew on DAL from Detroit to Hong Kong, and to be honest, the food really wasn't that bad. I mean, it wasn't great food, but it was decent and I had no real complaints. I will add that they did give out nice dessert treats at least :)

Airport services needs to be paid for. Pilots need to be paid. Etc. Do you think Delta just buys the planes with straight cash, pays their employees nothing, and get's service items for free? No airline does! Delta made $400m last year. One airplane costs that much. Dumbass.

It looks gross but is it gross? And the only difference of this food from Premium Economy is that they take it out of the plastic and put it on a plate. -.- Looks a lot better though.
