  • It is funny and a little scary that he has seen other videos of the mall on youtube. Do they just sit and search youtube for people filming the elevators and other events at the mall.

  • LOL, YOU ARE AWESOME, YOU SHOULD HAVE SENT THIS TO HIM ON YOUTUBE, THEN CAME BACK AND BEEN LIKE FUCK YOU

  • and i'll just sneak back in >:)

  • go urban exploration!

  • Just wait six months, they'll have all new security guards. It's a high-turnover job. Urban exploration is so worth it! Great video!

  • Did you get handcuffed ?

  • @paul9511 nope id be a millionare if i did

  • elevator photography is really just a hobbie. i was walking in the service cooridor at some mall and a janiter was walking in and didn't care i was in there. lol.

  • im just saying you get caught a lot

  • @crazyboy72375 they call me the king of kickouts for a reason

  • @crapper1 i dident know they call you that

  • @crazyboy72375 yup its a reputation i have

  • Why don't the fucking mall cops catch people who are shoplifting, rather than people who are walking around with camera's minding their own goddamn business.

  • @aw12ish I'm with you on that. Monroeville mall has HORRIBLE mall cops, they hate photography, although I never got busted filming in that mall. But there was once a time where someone threatened to fight someone because there was an argument so someone told security about it before the fight happen, the fight could have been prevented if security did something about it which they didnt. So about 3 people got into fight and security didn't care, true story

  • If this isn't indicative of the approaching police state, I don't know what is. Muting audio, taking down license plate numbers of otherwise well-meaning citizenry. Guess we'd all better start lining up at the gates of purposely-constructed "FEMA" camps.

  • @QuietSundayLibrary the muting audio is cause the cheapskates at the record companies will sue if there music is even heard almost but thats the downside of freedom

it isnt so much a police state as a overprotective mall employee thinking he can harass and bully people at the mall but they will learn that if they harrass the customers they wont go to the mall stores will close up and the leases will get cancelled making the mall owner loose money over the people he hired to protect the mall

  • @crapper1 Allow me to apologize, sir. I've a tendency to become a tad overzealous when I witness such actions.

  • @QuietSundayLibrary well thats usually the reaction i aim for when i make these is to get the experiace as close to being there as i can :) look for more if i get kicked out of more places

  • As a quote unquote mall security officer if your little scrony ass came in my mall a) with a video camera, b) in the corridors, and c) with your your smart as comments i would put my hands on you as much as i wanted and i would have you arrested for criminal trespass. The problem with the public is that they think we have no power bcuz we are "rent-a-cops" when in fact we do have power. Number 1 malls are private property and so security enforces rules set by that mall. I hope this helps

  • @jbkmas What people dont understand is elevator photography is a harmless hobby, and people treat us like terrorist. People are interested in so many different things, some people like radios, there are people who like record players, padlocks, ect its strange but its true, this is properly the hardest hobby because the product we are filming is not ours, and most places hate photography, and usually the only purpose of us being there is for the elevator.

  • @jbkmas Continued, not only that they always think we are doing something wrong. I wish security guards would understand this. If you watch any of our elevator videos you see we really aren't doing anything wrong other than taking pictures and the occasional going into the restricted area, but its not like we are causing trouble. Focus on shop lifters not elevator photographers.

  • The issue with having cameras in malls is copyright law. For some reason, a great deal of stores think you're trying to remake their product by taking pictures of it. I think it's a load of horseshit. I used to work in a mall and I constantly had my managers breathing down my neck to keep people from taking photos, but usually I didn't do anything. If someone -really- wanted to remake a product, they'd buy one and reverse engineer it.

  • @kiyoshi147 u do have a point however if u have trade secretes such as how somethings made or your buisness plan then u keep them out of the public view under lock and key they dont want people in the elevators as they are not designed for people to be riding like passenger elelvators but also there is no cameras and would be easy to rob someone back there in the service hall

  • They can't have you arrested for coming back unless there is a written trespassing order against you.

  • What that guard did was out of line. The first guard couldn't have been much better, but the second guard obviously didn't know how far he could go. The guard could NOT make you delete your photos. The guard could follow you to your car and take down your license plate number, but it's a shitty thing to do. I don't think he had any authority to tell you that you couldn't come back though.

  • my gosh you cant take a video or a picture any more!

  • if both guys are security guards i feel like they can not make you earse your videos of elevators here at this mall because they just guard the mall this is not thier property that you filmed they do not own this mall and i think the security guard shouldnt be allowed to tell you whether or not you can come back it would be different if the main manager or owner said that but security guards i feel cant make you do anything

  • Stupid "rent-a-cops" always thinking they are the real thing. I got kicked out of the same mall for having a DSLR in a backpack. I opened the backpack to get my wallet out, the store clerk saw my camera, and called mall security who promptly escorted me back to my truck. Bitch was I wasn't even shooting pictures at the mall ... I was just carrying my camera in my camera bag.

  • @joconnor23 : What does "DSLR" Stand for?

  • @elevatorgeek762 digital single refractive lense (big camera with long lenses)

  • @elevatorgeek762 its a digital camera w/ interchangeable lenses. DSLR actually stands for "Digital Single-Lens Reflex" camera.

  • @joconnor23 They can only kick you out if you are using the camera. They are so strict they want people leaving VALUABLE CAMERAS in the CAR!

  • @elevatorsonly I know they had no right to kick me out but it was easier to just leave than to argue with security (I did show them my press credentials but they didn't care). Yeah that mall is not getting my business anymore. I am not going to leave $8,000+ worth of camera equipment in my truck, to possibly be stolen, when I can easily carry it on my back. I have gone to other malls around the area and USED my camera without any problem.

  • This is why i am so scared of mall cooridoors. It was probably a Simon Mall, thats why they kicked u out. I got busted in 2 stores for filming freights. They made me erase my videos and i did. I got them back with tune up. U could of done the same. It ia also considered trespassing for riding freight elevators. This is why i might quit freights.

  • YOU MUST GO BACK THERE!!!!

  • @dea41396returns until i talk to building management i wont be returning

  • Must be a Simon Mall... Hate Simon Malls.

  • Ah. These videos are always the best. I bet if something serious happened the first guy would leave you to go investigate while the second guy would ignore it and continue to be a dick. Or rather dickless.

  • It might be a good idea for you to get a digital camera that records videos, that way you can put it in your pocket and no one would be able to notice that you have a camera.

  • @elevatorgeek88 this one fits in my pocket no problem and i knew we were going to get busted we saw security floating around so we tried to get the last one and ended up getting this

  • ouch, that's why I always start filming when I'm actually in the elevator at this mall, that way they won't be able to catch me filming. I think you can get away with filming at this mall in the evening because it's so dark and they aren't a lot of mall security wandering around at evening times.

  • Interesting video on how some securtiy guards worry about the small things when it comes to protecting people.

  • Nice video, definitely an epic win!

  • Mall guards, never do their job correctly, they are a Guard, their job is too protect people, not check out to see who is filming an elevator, their could be a robbery somewhere and all they care about is you deleting the videos. its nothing but a joke, it would be best to have real police officers, because they know the laws of what they can and can not do.

  • @patricknedz the older gentle man did do his job right he investigated a call of probally 2 guys in the service hall and we shouldnt have been in that elevator cause its freight only and not a passenger but the second one i agree was a total ass

  • very well done John you did good dealing with them

  • History just repeat itself, except the service corridor part. That same security guard kicked me out of that mall back in 2008, and apparently he still remembers that. I am hoping I can recover the video where I got kicked out of there by that security guard.

  • @escalatorgeek881 it would be too late, since it was properly over written with another file.

  • @escalatorgeek881 lol when he said that i automaticly knew he was talking about u and when u told me about that i wondered if this was the same one lol

  • @crapper1 Yes he was. I remember his voice, and I remember what he said to me: "You are not supposed to have any recording devices within the property of this mall and I am going to have to ask you to leave." He didn't follow me out to the car, but he did follow me out of the actual mall area.

  • @crapper1 : Was there security in service corridors? Was Richmond mall by Simon Malls?

  • @elevatorgeek762 probably not, but I think there are security cameras in service corridors. Richland mall is not by simon malls I believe but it sure acts and behaves like a simon mall.

  • @crapper1 : How many times have you visited Richland Mall?

  • @elevatorgeek762 3 times but first time i got busted there lol

  • I guess I can see why you're easing up on filming elevators now. The second guard is a power hungry a--hole who shouldn't be employed.

  • @SJSharkWannabe thats not the reason i would be easing up its mostly my work schedual at dominos thats restricting me but i will continue to get kickouts and show the bad side of security

  • @crapper1 I see, well hopefully you won't get into very serious trouble for filming on behalf of your subscribers.

  • @SJSharkWannabe well i enjoy doing this and knowing my rights i know where i cant and can go this one was mis judged a bit as the law states this was a true tresspassing as i wasnt allowed into the service hallways cause its not a public area with public access but i came out of it clean and 6 videos of some nice interior shots and elevators to boot

  • EPIC win john!! you stood your ground
