  • Nice review MrDagon. Just ordered the Subcom.

  • i like how you tell about the history of the designer.

  • Hi, great vids you have. Where did you have that nice yellow G10 handle made? Cya

  • @TheOovah A local custom maker did it for me, in exchange for a decent bottle of wine.

  • @MrDagon007 Thanks for your quick reply. Thats a pretty good deal! I think I'm going to stop buying "cheap" knives and get a Mueller Backlock for my EDC needs. I do miss a clip though.

  • The best knife reviews on YouTube bar none!

  • Great review! gotta love those bokers by chad los banos :D

  • The G10 on your M-Type looks dry, you should rinse it with water and then give it a light oiling and it'll be as good as new. G10 needs moisture like your skin.

  • @Krepo11 Thanks, yes I know about moistening G10. I should do that soon. Enjoy my little reviews!

  • @Krepo11 what kind of oil?

  • @roaringwaterbay Some use WD-40, some use Ballistol, basicly any oil that you use on the pivot. The lighter the oil is the easier it is to apply to G10.

  • Nice reviews. I have two variations of the subcom and two of the trance. the subcoms look cool, but are really too small in handle and blade to use for much. The trances are excellent utility knives.

  • The yellow Boker Trance is looking pretty sweet!

  • Nice, review - who did the custom scales on the Trance? I have an M-Type, decent budget knife but it is made in China versus Taiwan. The blade steel is 440C, my M-Type has China in small print to the far left of the thumb stud on the side of the blade with the 440C stamp.

  • Great review, your custom Trance scale looks really nice, makes me want a trance and yellow grip of my own

  • Bravo again MrDagon! Chad Losbanos shook up the knife world with his excellent Subcom designs. Almost the same effect on the industry as Ken Onion had when he popularized the assisted openers. I agree the knives are not in any way elegant or beautiful but the sheer functionality and ergonomics make them become attractive in my eyes after some time. Thank you for your reviews. I may have to purchase a trance to go with my Subcoms now!
