At 2:00 is a Carpenters band member hitting himself in the face with his hand. According to one of the fan club newsletters, the band members were dressed as white-faced aliens. While watching "Christmas Portrait" the other day, I noticed that the band members were hitting themselves in the face with their hands just like this!

I truly loved this version of the song "Piano Picker" performed by Richard Carpenter! I have seen other versions done by him on youtube with Karen but they were played very quickly & with slightly different lyrics.

Thanks for posting this now classic & slightly cheesy Carpenter variety show!
