  • The Best of World

  • @daniel8900100 Oh, yes!

  • In the church today it was an intense experience.

  • The only problem is that it is dedicated to the Christian God LOL

  • @Heikkibat

Yes, that's pretty much the point of an anthem called Te Deum. Idiot.

  • @Heikkibat

It's not a problem, it's fact, that makes the composition even better.

  • Love this. I have been a fan of baroque music for years

  • I hate how people sometimes simply cut off the drums at the beginning... Completely missing the spirit of the composition imho

  • @KarlAmade I don't understand what you're trying to say...

  • 2 dislikes, nice try justin bieber

  • Bud Greenspan's use of this music with the Olympic Torch relay is genius

  • Its the Feeling, the Echantment, the Divine touch that gives you when listening.

    Happyness and inspiration.

Thats why this song should be listed as "DRUGS".

    Wonderfull!!

  • wonderful !!

  • Charpentier was one of the greatest of the composers of the French baroque, largely kept out of opera by Lully, who wanted to maintain his monopoly on music for the court of Louis XIV and who probably realized that his talent simply didn't compare with Charpentier's.

  • c'est poser !!! ralala qu'es que j'adore :)

  • @ianpaice84 What's wrong with the EU?

  • Is this the original Version?

  • @derluca95 Well ... M.A. Charpentier is dead in 1704 ... so, I think he couldn't even record his compositions ... In fact, there's no orginial version...

  • @derluca95 What?

  • Απάντηση στο "Greece - "Watch My Dance" - Eurovision Song Contest 2011 - BBC One"

  • UNITED EUROPE

  • @swedisse

    Forever in Peace and Liberty.

  • Do you have the whole Te Deum with Les Arts Florissants and Christie? It's second only to Martin Gester's interpretation.

  • Does anyone else shake their head on the down beats.

  • great!!!

  • très belle interprétation !!!

  • Una delle migliori esecuzioni di questo celebre pezzo di Charpentier, da parte di William Christie con Les arts Florissants su strumenti originali. Un riferimento irrinunciabile.

  • I'm gonna buy myself an old castle, a butler, a classy 16th century suit and listen to this all day.

  • Super board. Gota do this for homework!

  • Eurovision 4ever

  • Where is my household? ;-P

  • Good tempo for me

  • The composer is Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1634-1704), one of the most famous composers of the 17th in France Century.

    Best song...

    Extremely good... <3

  • Rondo ABACA ! :)

  • This was played at my graduation last week, and if it weren't the nature of the graduation that made my day, it was this Prelude! I don't think he could have picked a more fitting piece! Bravissimo!

  • @danjuan88 How lucky to have this played at your Graduation. I hope the orchestra was as good as this one!

  • Well, that's MUSIC !!! Cannot stop listening ...

Great barock music .... God himself made the notes ... And we say just "Thank You"

  • Encore Encore Encore !!!! Dacapo ...

  • its interesting. ive heard various versions on youtube and some have the dotted eigth-sixteenth thing like this does, and some have regular eighth notes. i like this better haha.

  • @homiemandude In the traditional Baroque fashion, if they were written as eigth notes, they still should've been played as dotted eigth-sixteenths.

  • Never stop the music ... it is GOD

    himself who plays the trumpets....

  • wow!

  • Charpentier is like Händel or Bach :

    You cannot stop listening !!!!
