  • So this was sung by the same singer who sung Christmas in the Silent Forest? Wow why didn't I Notice this before!

  • Nice, I love it C:

  • Superbe chanson, ma préférée du manga.

  • One of my all time favorite songs.

  • Yoko Kano is a genius! We need more music composers like her here in the states. Wolf's Rain is anime...with an edge!

  • i dont really mind if its in a different language, it still sounds great

  • Is this Spanish? I'm stupid...

  • @YuFangirlButNotABad1 No it's french :p But i think Canadian French...i'm french but sometimes i don't understand what she said xD

  • @Koniwolf Français avec un fort accent japonais posé dessus, la diction est très déformée

French with a heavy japanese accent, the diction is strongly distorted

  • @Ieglenguyen Ah oui j'y avais pas pensée. :))

  • @Koniwolf Thanks

  • @YuFangirlButNotABad1 It is italian.

  • @JrockMina Thanks

  • @JrockMina No! It's french! ;-)

  • @joliemalice it's french definitely!

  • you know something some of the songs of Wolf's rain sounds like indian songs

  • @DARKRIUN well it does make sense. Indians believe that wolves are their teachers. so they are very connected to them.

  • I can't believe how astonishing this song is. Ilaria Graziano's work is generally very, very good, but she blows everything else out of the water with this song (the GITS soundtracks almost especially.)

And Yoko Kanno's direction... just... no words can describe how much I love her art. She has no equal. She's my favorite musical artist, period. All of her work is very good, especially on Bebop and such, but I think she reached a certain level of perfection with Wolf's Rain. It shows.

  • @Tenchinow Totally Agree. Yoko Kanno's musical portafolio exceeds almost any composer of any major film score. Ever since I watched macross plus back in 1998, I was hooked to her music. Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne, Wolf's Rain....

  • stunning!! love this song!

  • omg I thought french itself was beautiful, but french with an italian accent? Gorgeous!

  • Kocham ta muzyke, kocham tą anime i każdego jej bohatera z osobna!!!

W życiu nie zapomne przygód wilków...

A od tej muzyki jestem uzależniona w kółko tylko te piosenki...:)

  • This is one of my absolute favorite tracks in Wolf's Rain. Ever. I love this so much.

I remember when I got my DVD collection set yeeeears ago, and when I listened to this, I didn't like it that much because it was when I was first getting into songs in other languages.

A few years later, I listen again after hearing many languages, and fell in absolute love with this song. I've never been one for the French Language, but this is so beautiful. <3

  • I love this :3 all the songs with singing in them on the wolfs rain OST Is goddamn amazing, Dumb question, but what language is it in? xD +who by? c:

  • @BringChloeTheHorizen

I believe it is french (atleast it sounds like it)... and I have to agree with you tenfold on how awesome the vocals are ^0^

  • @kiima Thankyou! C: and indeed! :3 I wish people who did Anime OSTS Had albums of all there songs D:

  • @kiima Yep, I'm french and I can confirm, it's french but sung with a strange accent... I'd say an asiatic accent I think. La valse de la lune = The waltz of the moon ^^

  • @happysleeper1 It's Italian.

  • @happysleeper1 The accent, I mean, not the song. I know the song is French lol.

  • @BUDGETFREE Lol I know the singer is italian but her accent really sounds asiatic ^^

Nevertheless I have to admitt that even as a French I don't understand of the words she says with her accent XD

Besides thes words are very poetics but don't mean a lot ^^

  • @BringChloeTheHorizen

菅野よう子 / Yoko Kanno – Valse de la Lune (feat. Ilaria Graziano)

  • Brings me 2 tears :(

  • This song fucks me up every time I listen to it.

  • hiQ!

  • oh really i didnt kno that it sounds beautiful though

  • does any body know who sings this song?

  • @25mars i think it's Ilaria Graziano.

  • @25mars i think it's Ilaria Graziano.

  • @25mars she's Yoko Kanno =)

  • Et j'attendd laa ou rien bouge maintenant

    I like It ! =p

  • Very nice this song. Wolf s Rain es una anime que me dio tristeza pero a la vez vi ciertas puertas q pueden llegar hacer a hacer reflexionar de algunos actos. Greetings from Peru, thanks for this vid.

  • What is the song from Episode 26, where the white wolf is fighting that lady??? Sorry, I don't watch this LOL.....just wondering....

  • I like it.

  • Is this spanish?

  • @FluffyLovesSpyro2 It's french

  • @90splaylist Ohh ok. Thanks. I'm taking Spanish, and the title looked like it. :3

  • This song is so pretty.

  • <3333

  • j'adore cette chanson^-^elle est si belle:D

  • Beautiful <3

  • Je amour celle chanson!

  • My friend reccomended this song to me, I didn't know it was from wolve's rain though.

  • avec les louuuuups

  • that is such a sexy voice omg =)

  • @phoenix88049 Voice is sexy, but sadly, the singer does not have a sexy face. I was appalled by the gap between her appearances and her voice.

  • @Kalnaf bummer

  • @Kalnaf beauty is in the eye of the beholder, otherwise you'd be so wrong: she is beautiful!

  • when do they play this song in the anime?

  • @noalaniwolf

im pretty sure its a background song

  • I'm French and i like this song ! <3

  • oh i didn't know an italian person was singing, haha i could tell there was some kind of accent since i took french, but I just assumed it was japanese haha

  • This is probably one of my favorite songs on the album. It's soothing but also kinda upbeat at the same time!

  • hmmm i dont remember this being on Wolfs rain!? hmm i better watch it again!! ^_^

  • is french.

  • french?

  • @MatsuLoveLust Yes.

  • .... It is a really nice song! Almost falled asleep XD

  • la chanson est très belle! je ne peux pas écouter-la seulement une fois! =)

  • love this song....

    what genre is this

  • Je l'aime

  • <3 Love this songg.

  • Who did this song, anyway?

  • Ilaria Graziano

  • the composer would be Yoko Kanno, but I don't know who sings it

  • Reminds me directly of Blue, wandering with the boys and looking/waiting for her master.

  • White or black as I depart beyond you,

with the hope to change destiny.

Although in the body the soul blazes,

in the darkness the distance becomes infinite. With the youths dressed in the skin of beasts,

we dance together in the middle of tempests.

    Another horizon dissolves

in the light of eyes that want to awaken.

  • And, I wait here,

    Where nothing moves right now.

Even if I don't see you

    I can regain what we seek in the night;

    Even if it's really difficult

Ill dance my path with the wolves. I will feel the light on my skin,

without being afraid on your bad sides

Its the moon that leads the dance

when the sun will set in your cold soul.

  • I wait for you here,

    where nothing moves right now.

Where the shade deploys all its veils

I can regain what we seek in the night.

    Even if its very difficult

I will dance my path with the wolves. Even if I dont see you

    I can regain what we seek in the night;

    Even if its really difficult

Ill dance my path with the wolves.

  • @SimplyHorses thank you for the translation, the lyrics are beautiful!

  • @SimplyHorses TY for the translations! knowing what is said in a song always increases your appreciation for music.

  • The lyrics are in French (I'm French so I recognized it immediately ) ^^

It's a really beautiful song! One of my favorite songs ^v^

  • This is so not wolf's rain!

I don't remember it at all and I've seen the series six times!

Someone PLEASE tell me what ep its in! Thanks, - W -

  • It's on the Wolf's Rain soundtrack. It's probably not in the anime, but it's still on the CD and by Yoko Kanno

  • Oooooh, probably on there cause Yoko Kanno, she's really cool!!

    Thanks for replying

  • i think it's playing in the background while hub and cher are at the restraunt... \But i'm not sure. i just know it was something like a jazz song, like this..

  • oh, ok.

  • I THINK it is played when Cheza and the wolves walk through the city after they escaped from the soldiers in the forest. But I´m not sure sorry...

  • oh well, thanks for replying. Just for that I get to smile.

    Thanks for your help.

    :D

  • damn this is so cute! and unexpected ! (ina gd way xD) i luv this i think it might be my fav!

  • Thats weird that an italian girl sings a french song xD

  • Yeah, what's up with that?

  • Its awesome hehe. Her accent is very convincing. Its amazing how she can sound French yet be Italian! I thought she was French the whole time. x.x

  • Mmmm, this song...when i listen this, i imagine that i´m a wolf, and i´m running in circles around a girl dancing under the full moon, magic and graceful moon.....

  • i cant look at these anymore this show is so sad at the end it kinda ruine this great show.

  • erm.... This isn't italian... This is French....

    Great song!!!

  • but the singer is italian...

  • the singer is italian...the composer is yoko kanno and she's japanese

  • italian!? hahaha what?

  • i would have never thought she was italian, her french is very good...

  • nyaaaa i lubs di soooon

  • Hahaha, no, this is french :*

  • One of my favorite songs, and one of my favorite anime! *-*

Does anyone know where I can find sheet music or midi for this song?

  • This song is great, very relaxing. It amazes me that the woman singing this is Japanese, although it shouldn't becuase I heard that many Japanese people speak French. Jeez, bilingual bastards! lol

  • This one is Ilaria Graziano.

  • The lady that sing this is italian

  • hahaha, No she isn't! She's japanese. Her name is Yoko Kanno and I've seen a picture of her. Definitely NOT Italian! :)

  • yoko kanno doesn't sing, as far as i know. the music is from her thats all

  • Ohhhh...

  • Hey, why am I a moron?!! That's not very nice. So I was wrong about Yoko, that doesn't make me notably stupid or lacking in good judgment!! You meaner!!!>:(

  • right ^-^

  • JapRock, this girl's name is llaria Graziano. Yoko Kanno is the producer of this song, not the singer.

  • Oh, yeah, thanks. I got confused because even on my ipod mabobby the name at the bottom of the song is Yoko whatever. Why don't they put Gray canoli or whatever's name on there? hm. (*shrugs*) Doesn't matter I still like the song.

Anyways, sorry for being so...simple minded:)

    Later.

  • Yoko is the composer of this song and Ilaria Graziano is the singer.

  • Oh yeah, I know now.

But Thank You for telling me Sweets:)

  • Graziano? Thanks.

  • The italian girl is Ilaria Graziano, not Yoko....Yoko Kanno only composed this song, Ilaria is the singer

  • wow <:

  • Actually, when you sing in french you tend to over prenounce which gives a nice sound, If you'd like Flutehinata I could send you the english and french versions with prebounciations

  • over pronounce? -_-? That would be great if you could send the pronounceations over. When I was singing this song this week, I tried to connect the words more. A friend of mine said to listen to the song a lot to pronounce the words better.

  • Gahh!! I've found the french lyrics to this song, but I don't speak french and I haven't taken any French classes! I've been working on this for 30 min and I got the sound somewhat. It seems like it's all tongue and throat work.

  • I Know french, -is fluent- I could send you the translation if you'd like :3

  • Sweet! Hey,umm...how do you pronounce the words? I'm somewhat curious about the grammer too. Like I learned from friends that t's in some words are silent and -ior make a certain sound I think.

  • Very good song... the lyrics are so fitting for Wolf's Rain. Her voice is so amazing.

  • this song relaxes me so!i love the voice of th woman that sings this!

  • For some reason this song reminds me of a waltz. Preferably, a waltz under the moon in the middle of a field.

  • is that about the song is!!!

  • that's because of the 3/4 measures...

  • Well Valse de la Lune means Waltz of the Moon so there's probably some connection there.

  • uéé une chanson en français c cool ^^ c clr kon need pas traduc', koike elle a kan mm un sacré accent à certains moments xD

  • Yeaaaah ! Enfin une chanson ou j'ai pas besoin de traduction xD !!

  • Why she sing in french ? (I'm french)

Why it's in french and not in Japanese ?? XD

I love this pic' <3 (Kiba ? xD)

  • I don´t know why...but,the singer is not a japanese girl,is a very beautifull italian girl called Ilaria Graziano

  • Okey ^^ It's original

  • yess with a ver pronunced accent of japanese or other.

i know had to sing in french but nice song

  • J'aime cette chanson

  • her voice reminds me at chezas voice xD

  • yeah,it´s true...when i hear this song,i image cheza singing and dancing with the wolves under the fullmoon.

  • Oh also;

Elle chant tres bien! (Did I say that right idk but at least I tried :P)

  • Well illaria is italien :) But her french is very good. Better than mine. I only like knew five words in this song and was likw ITS ABOUT CHEESE? XD :) heehee. I personally love the song and the violin work in the background. Im a yoko kanno freak. -_- it is true,

  • I agree!!! (oh and 5 words in french is WAY beyond my limits) ^_^

  • I don't like this song honestly :/ Maybe it's because i am french, and i don't like she's accent...

I can traduct the lyrics if you want ^^

  • Oh really that would be great! :D Thank you! And thanks for sharing your opinion too, I haven't heard much French and hadn't noticed her accent! ^^

  • I'm French and I love it myself! Even if the lyrics don't mean anything much. xD

  • The song is beautiful, but the accent is not very.... how can i explain.... the song has to be kinda sweet, and the accent doesnt help.

Could you write down the lirics? im not very ood at french

  • When does this song play during the show? i need 2 kno!!

  • when chesa and the wolves dance arround her, when the full moon fills them with new energy, the scene is very beautifull, but is a bit short...

  • The lyrick is very romantic...related by a path with the wolves, dance with the moon, and the wolves...

  • i like this song can i see lyrics
