@ilovetruthdrumzzz dude, 5 hours a day is more than enough. you just need to practice to a click, practice rudiments and always challenge yourself - learn covers that you can't play and practice them until you can, write drum parts for your band that you can't play at first. it's all about challenging yourself, don't be afraid of doing that!

Question. I have come to a stumbling block on learning songs with poly rhythms and such in them (i.e. this song and Circle of Contempt stuff). I've seen your COC cover and it's amazing. Any tips to try in figuring out the patterns to some of their songs? Like how did you learn it? Just listen to it a lot?

@marcussmith680 hey dude! well, it's really hard to learn songs by bands like COC, you have to spend a lot of time sitting behind your practice pad (or drumset, but i'd go with practice pad at first) and just listening and interpreting the song piece by piece. Also - use youtube and check live performances and covers of these songs, they will definitely help you with figuring out wtf is going on in the song, haha

so yeah, just a loooot of time listening and practicing, man, no secrets at all :)

I tried setting my set up similar to his and it actually helped. the set up feels very relaxed and everything is right there for me.
