And that is the moment her eyes were open to who Arthur truly is. And the moment I think opened his eyes for the first time was when they were in the forest about to fight for Merlin's village. Anyone agree with me???

I like it that Arthur can't find the right words. For a guy who doesn't know how talking to somebody he cares about he seriously can't find his words around Guinevere. *Sighs* He must love her VERY much. Bless you Arthur and your feelings for Gwen XD

Question? In the episode-LANCELOT- when Arthur asks Lancelot if he thinks SHE is beautiful, it looks like he's looking in Gwen's direction, then the camera pans over then back to Morgana...Am I seeing things? Why at this point does it seem to be OVER Morgana?

@shakespearesadvocate See, Arthur is asking Lancelot if he thinks Morgana is beautiful, because at this point in the series Arthur is more interested in Morgana because he hasn't really noticed Guinevere yet. Lancelot on the other hand only has his mind on Guinevere and so misunderstands Arthur's question. He says yes because he thinks Arthur is talking about Gwen.

I think it was form here that gwen saw a whole other side of arthur. for arthur it begun to look at her different in the moment of truth and for gwen in this episode. GOD I FREAKIN LOVE THESE TWO

No Arthur didnt excecute him, he was inprisoned by Uther accused of conspiring with sorcery, and killed when he tried to escape.

So it wasnt Arthurs fault that he died, but you could say it was Uthers.

I watched this episode and thought Arthur was being a real good friend to Guin. He felt bad that her father was executed, but he still wanted to protect her. He did his best by her and I admire him for it. I don't see any immediate attraction, I do see the nice friendship though.

I love Gwen/Arthur. I like how they have approached the relationship, making it more about personality because there is no immediate attraction. Can't wait for serious two and, like you guys, I hope for a good-old jealous triangle thing to go on! Not long to go now though I'm sure :)

To be fair, Merlin, Morgana and Lancelot have had instances of calling Gwen 'Guinevere', but you would be right to note that Arthur is so far the only one that puts the extra emphasis on the syllables.

Well, Kheldara, I think Lancelot will be back to be in a love 'triangle' anyway, thee Arthurian love triangle that is.

Since in series 2 Lancelot is supposed to return and they are going to start the Arthur/Gwen romance.

Jealous Arthur . . . I think we were supposed to have seen that back in 'Valiant' but it didn't come across very strong. So . . . a REALLY jealous Arthur? I'd fall out of my chair with laughter! :D

I can see where it would come from though. If Arthur starts to get REALLY keen on Gwen next season. With Lancelot and Gwen both being common it is relatively 'easy' for them to be together, but it is next to impossible for Arthur to be with Guinevere.

Everyone seems to spell doom for Arthur and Gwen, but based on twists the they show has already taken from the traditional Arthurian legends, it is likely that they could end up together.

Mordred isn't Morgana and Arthur's son like he should be and Lancelot isn't a knight. So maybe Lancelot will come first as Gwen's official man and spark jealousy with Arthur, bringing him to admit his feelings for her. She'll return them, of course.

Just a possibility!

She is the only lead lady in this series so far that hasn't had the make-up amount put on her. No lipstick. No eyeshadow. Not even liner. And she is still beautiful in every scene.
