It's been about a year since I've seen this -- I'm still waiting for part 2. The end credits with "Val" running in all her little squares continues to crack me up. You must do: l) Lilimae running down the hospital hall searching for Val after she lost the babies, 2) When Val first woke up after the Jill pills and she sees Jill in her room and complelely wigs out, 3) Lilimae mowing Chip down with the car, 4) Val's reaction at the ranch at Gary being "dead".... This was great guys hilarious, The scenes were funny with big burly men in the roles accurate campy and when Val told Mack shut up your are the only one that thinks you're being cute through the fence pure comedy. The baby scene with vals hair as she spun around. The way karen looked at Mack when they were talking to sheila about the babies. The closing was well done too can't wait to see the next post

I'm 33 and grew up watching that show. I remember watching it when I was 3 in 1979. I remembered all those scenes. Bravo!

I'm mad at myself for not going to Granada Hills when I was in LA. Karen and Mac lived at 16972 SeaView Circle....but really 16972 Crystalaire PL, Granada Hills, CA. The house last sold on 1/3/03 for $470,000. Damn. I would have bought it. I bet they get a lot of people wanting to see the inside.

@Tednlou I did manage to find the cul-de-sac when I visited LA last July. It's a lot smaller than it seems on TV. One of the houses that wasn't featured on the show must of had 8 cars parked in it's front lawn. Tacky! I got some great pictures though!

We shot some quick exteriors of the houses for establishing shots. Otherwise, we filmed the bulk of the interiors in West Hollywood and a few scenes at Caroline Rhea's former house in the Hollywood Hills.

It's actually stylized acting, with actors who are very young men (guys, really) playing female characters in their `30's/`40's. However, they play these scenes with straight faces (watch closely, and you'll see what I mean). It really is very original. I like watching it repeatedly.

Right now there is a full re-run on cable television and I started to watch it again being completely sucked in again... So I decided to surf through youtube for some clips and got to this one!
