@dprider02 That would be our friend seekinsoul (Rich). That bike corners like you would not believe. And I can't believe he rode so far on that thing!
@Fudmottin Yeah, I don't think I'll be doing that kind of mileage on it again anytime soon. I'd like to trailer it next time and let my butt enjoy a nice comfy automobile seat.
@seekinsoul I don't blame you. The only real reason I haven't trailered is because I only do these long trips about once a year and have no place to store a trailer. I don't have a tow hitch on my car either. Also don't want to spend the money for an infrequently used setup.
@CJSNOWY I'm not sure how high that spot is. There are roads that have elevations of over a mile above sea level. The highest point of the Appalachians is in North Carolina and is over 6000 feet above sea level. The highest I've actually been is on Mt Washington in New Hampshire at an elevation of 6100 or so feet above sea level. That's the highest point on the east coast North of North Carolina.
love the you're # 1 from Lauren! lolz

Lots of tourists there. I didn't realise it was a tourist attraction. Love your licence plate 'Shit Outta Luck 34' :)

@Swipe650 It can get crowded. Some of the towns in the area are ridiculously crowded. Anyway, it is a national park.
The letters on my plate are actually Sierra Delta Lima.

How far did you walk up the trail?
I made it about 1/3 of the way then went back to the store.
Rich went all the way to the lookout point.

@suburbanryder I wasted my time relaxing in the shade of a pine tree.

Was that up at Clingman's Dome? I've passed by the entry road numerous times, but have never gone up there. Next time maybe!
Who was riding the DR650?
