Munich was about Hitler making the argument that a section of Czechoslovakia, the Sudentenland, should have been German because of the high German population that was there - nearly 50%. Since the region used to be part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire - and was only recently made into a country - most in the UK were not willing to die for that concept as they did in WWI.
