This first time I heard this song, I was in tears for days afterward. I mean, where have you heard a better first stanza than:

Oddly, this song reminds me of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" and John Lennon's "Imagine." I think it has to do with how the pristine beauty of the music works with the crystal clarity of the lyrics.

This had alot of thought and time put into it. So difficult to get the right photos to accompany the lyrics. I think this works. Does anyone watch 'Gardener's World' !!! Nick was played on there tonight while Monty Don was 'cutting back'! Nick's music is used alot as background music for gardening & wildlife programmes!!!

This video really is superb, so moving and poignant given that there's none of Nick in his prime.Does anyone know of any artist who sounds like Nick or who is remotely comparable? Someone I met said Jeff Buckley (yeh right), I've NEVER heard anyone who sounded like Nick or had the intimacy with the audience (albeit not through his live shows). And just to finish, is 3 hours just the most amazing song ever or is that Things Behind the Sun???!!! Love you Nick, your music lives on for ever.

Have you heard of Scott Matthews? I think 'Elusive' and 'Dream-Song' 'Wasp in a jar' are some of his best. His voice is exellent but no-one can beat Nick's talent for me. His music takes me from the rat-race,

to a better world in my head......

I liked how you blended the childhood films to the still photographs.

It's really hard to imagine that there's no film footage of him in his prime.

Kind of explains the mystery of his true talent.

Amazing music.

You can really have fun putting together a moving slide show with his song "River Man" too.

Hi, I wanted it to have emotion and i'm glad it worked, but I think Nick's music along with the mystery behind him makes all the difference.

This was my first attempt at playing around with footage and stills and as my girlfriend is also a huge fan I thought it would be nice to create a series of these for a number of his songs for her to listen to and watch on DVD (i'll post them on YouTube when they're done). I'm glad you liked it and thanks for your comments.
