The ferry in the video is MS Smyril, which sails between Tórshavn and Tvøroyri on Suðuroy. You might be confusing this with MS Norröna, a cruise-ferry operated by Smyril-Line, which calls to port at Seyðisfjörður, Tórshavn and Hirshals.
Also an airplane is colloquially known as plane, not plain... have your spelling and facts in order before trying to trash someone.
Is she speaking Norwegian or what is the language she is speaking?, just curious because I am Swedish and I understand some parts what she is saying but not all of it.

Why did it leave port , they must have been given good marine information regarding these seas. One of these waves could have easily taken the ship.

You can't even imagine how bad the weather can get in wintertime on the north Atlantic ocean between Faroe-islands and Iceland!!
The waves were indeed so strong that it was not even possible to stand up on my feet.
Well, at least Smyril Line doesn't go over to Iceland any more in winter time.

It was Seyðisfjörður in Iceland-between Seyðisfjörður and Tórhavn is where this happened.
The ferries destiny was Hanstholm in Denmark.
