Crimzon Clover is basically DoDonPachi on crack but ten times better.

Crimzon Clover also have Hyper (It's actually called Break Mode in Crimzon Clover) and you can actually double your Hyper (Double Break Mode in Crimzon Clover). You never get to do that in DoDonPachi Dai Ou Jou and Bullet Heck in general! :3

im still getting my teeth into DDP but im still undesided as to weather i like chaining or not but i am using c-s which is a bitch to chain with maybe when i start using A-L properlly i might get more into the chaining aspect.

I really hope chaining grows on me as thats what cave is all about.

Well said, xoxak. I see nothing fun about requiring the player to execute absolute perfection. When you could theoretically program a robot to play a game without the robot knowing what's actually happening in the game, well... you get a shitty game.

@POOPTURTLE That's only a minor part of DDP - the game itself is incredibly fun, and chaining isn't that hard. CAVE games don't require memorization on the degree of R-type, which is more the kind of thing you're talking about.

Cave's stuff is just too expensive. I went to some retro game store the other night and bought a copy of Mars Matrix for the Dreamcast for $20. Though the price was low, you might be happy to know that they kept the sole copy stored in a locked display case next to very expensive copies of Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia instead of tossing it in the heap of Sega Sports games and other shit titles they had. Thanks for the honest reviews. Every game you've recommended has fantastic gameplay.
