  • CHARLIES SOAP ALL THE WAY

    R&G IS CRAAAAAAAP

  • When I started cloth diapering I used an arm & hammer detergent and had no issues with it. When I ran out I decided to try Rockin' Green after hearing so many great things and was very disappointed. The diapers were just not getting cleaned. It started smelling like ammonia very badly after my daughter would pee and still smell funky after a wash. I have now switched and after the first wash cycle my diapers are squeaky clean and have no smell. I guess Rockin' Green is just not for everyone.

  • A better way to do this experiment would be to "wash" then "rinse" THEN do a second rinse.... that would show how well one detergent rinses out verses another.

  • I have been using Rockin' Green for several months. It's great; no more lingering ammonia odors! But, I do have to be critical of this experiment. 1 - Rolling the soap within several layers of cloth is not realistic. I would expect all detergents to still be physically within the roll after the two agitations. Why not dissolve it in the initial water? 2 - If not in the rinse water, where is the RG? Did all of it leave in the initial wash water? Or, is it there but simply not sudsy?

  • @HypnobirthingMama I've tried Charlies for over a year, then switched to Rockin' Green because my diapers were not getting clean enough and my son had a wicked rash. I know Charlies works great for lots of people, but when I switched to a front loader, it stopped working at all. Rockin' Green works wonders and works amazingly as a soak for stinky diapers. I LOVE Rockin' Green! I have to pay wicked shipping to get it to me in Canada, but it is WORTH it! I use it for ALL of my laundry.

  • This is far from a rock solid experiment! Pun intended. This does nothing to show what is left on the wash rag at the end of a fake wash cycle. This shows what is left in the rinse water. Rockin Green website says is a "non-foaming formula" so of course you'd expect to see little suds! I wish more companies would have REAL rock solid experiements like Charlie's Soap. Check out their research tab, 4 quality studies. Including the weight of cloth diapers after just 8 cycles, compared to Tide.

  • @phorcydes..no smartie pants, the dirty water in the "rinse bag" indicates that the other detergent isn't rinsing clean in the wash like it is supposed to.

  • just wanted to say how i admire you for not using names on other brands.i cant stand commericals and such when companies bash other people! i think the way you did it was very tasteful.

  • I just bought my first bag of Rockin Green this past weekend. I've already started using it and I love it. Thank you!

  • doesn't the dirtier the water mean the cleaner it got my diaper? you didn't use the same wash rag..... all this proved is your soap clung to the washrag and didn't rinse out. the other soap on the brown rag washed out of the rag. rockin green just stayed on the rag and didn't transfer to the water. Id rather the soap not stay on my diaper. I say do a video of the rag after un-rolled I wanna see how much soap is left in the rag on both soaps....

  • @phorcydes the dirty water is actually a lot of soap still ciming out of the rag. Those rags weren't dirty enough to leave that much in the water.

  • @phorcydes You obviously do not understand how soap works.... If you can wash something over and over and it keeps creating bubbles- the soap DID NOT come out.

  • what are the other soaps you used? first time mom, i just ordered my first pack of cloth diapers. Thanks

  • Ikea bowls!!

  • That is awesome! You have me sold!! I'm going to be buying Rockin Green Detergent for my diapers. Thank you!

  • That's great! So glad I switched!
