no, not really. In the desert it is so isolated that the entire performance just assaults your senses. The smell, the heat, the constantly changing visual performance. It literally makes you want to climb up and join.
I live here in Northern Nevada. I've delt with Burners since I was a kid, and I love the art element. I hate the rest. Sorry, everyone, but Burning Man is not just about the art. It's about getting baked while getting burned in one of the most desolately beautiful places in the world.

I understand what annoys you. Me and my husband go every year. We do not do drugs of any sort, or engage in any risky behavior. It does annoy me when I find someone who is passed out on my "porch" from drugs or alcohol. Last year I had to pock a couple because I thought they were dead.
